The People's Committee of Tay Ninh and Dong Nai provinces awarded Certificates of Merit to the collective and reporters of SGGP newspaper.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), the People's Committees of Tay Ninh province and Dong Nai province commended and rewarded many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in journalism activities, including reporters and the Representative Office of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper in the Southeast region.

On the afternoon of June 20, in Tay Ninh , the Provincial Party Committee held a meeting and awarded outstanding journalists. Attending were comrades: Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Nguyen Dai Thy, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and outstanding journalists and reporters from press agencies inside and outside the province.

Tay Ninh Provincial leaders awarded certificates of merit to outstanding press agencies and individual journalists.

At the ceremony, Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 13 groups and 17 individuals who made outstanding contributions to the propaganda work of the province's political , economic and social tasks. In particular, the SGGP Newspaper Representative Office in the Southeast region was honored to receive 1 collective Certificate of Merit and journalist Le Xuan Trung received 1 individual Certificate of Merit.

Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong spoke at the meeting.

On the same day, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province also solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

Attending the event were Deputy Director, Deputy Head of the Standing Office of the Southern Region of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Cong Dan; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Thai Bao; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung, along with leaders of departments, branches and sectors; generations of journalists in the province, reporters from resident agencies in the province.

Dong Nai province leaders presented flowers to congratulate Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Thai Bao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Nai province, affirmed the special role of the press in the revolutionary cause, building and developing the country through each period. He sent his best wishes to the press team and hoped that the press would continue to accompany the province in the process of socio-economic development.

Also on this occasion, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province honored 45 outstanding journalists and awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 groups and 33 individuals who have made many contributions to local journalism activities. In particular, the Representative Office of SGGP Newspaper in the Southeast region and journalist Tran Van Phong, Head of the Office, were awarded a Certificate of Merit by the People's Committee of Dong Nai province for their active contributions to information and propaganda work serving the socio-economic development of the province.
