On October 20, at the Le Chung High-Tech Agricultural Production Zone, Tan Giang Ward, Cao Bang Province, the Department of Science and Technology (KH&CN) of Cao Bang Province inspected and evaluated the progress of the project "Research on building a garden to preserve the genetic resources of rare and precious indigenous medicinal plants of Cao Bang in the High-Tech Agricultural Zone of Le Chung Commune, Hoa An District, Cao Bang Province", chaired by the Institute for Regional Science and Technology Development. Comrade Nong Thanh Than - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology was the Head of the delegation.

The delegation inspected the actual situation: the collection garden outside the greenhouse; the process of growing Codonopsis pilosula, Achyranthes bidentata, and Wolfberry according to GACP-WHO in the greenhouse; the process of growing White-flowered Royal poinciana and Cyperus rotundus according to GACP-WHO outside the greenhouse.

According to the progress report of the implementing unit from 2024 to present, the implementing unit has completed some contents in the explanation. In which:

For content 1:   Conducted a route survey, collected and evaluated 5 species in 5 districts (now communes): Hoa An, Quang Hoa, Nguyen Binh, Ha Quang and Thach An ; Evaluated the biological and ecological characteristics of 5 rare and precious indigenous medicinal plant species in the province ; Completed a report on the investigation, collection and evaluation of the current distribution status, biological and ecological characteristics, value and potential for exploitation and development of 5 rare and precious indigenous medicinal plant species in Cao Bang province .

For content 2 : A ^750m2 collection garden model has been built outside the greenhouse ( planting white-flowered Hoang tinh hoa, Bach bo and Soi rung with an area of ^​​250m2 /plant species ) with good growth and no pests or diseases; A model is being built inside the greenhouse with an area of ​​30m2 ⁽ planting Dang sam and That diep nhat chi hoa with an area of ^​​150m2 /plant species).

For content 3 : Developed 01 process for growing Codonopsis pilosula , Atractylodes macrocephala, and Wolfberry according to GACP-WHO in a greenhouse; Developed 01 process for growing White-flowered Royal poinciana and Cymbidium per GACP-WHO outside a greenhouse.

Based on the explanation and implementation progress, the Inspection Team acknowledged the efforts of the host unit, and the good results in performing the tasks. The Inspection Team requested the host unit to continue to proactively accelerate the progress and effectively implement the research contents closely following the approved explanation to ensure feasibility and scientificity . At the same time, the host unit was requested to continue to make timely periodic progress reports, in order to help the authorities grasp and promptly coordinate to overcome the shortcomings and limitations in performing the tasks well; during the implementation of the project's contents, it is necessary to keep images as evidence when requested; at the models, it is necessary to add nameplates; have backup plans for each weather condition to promote the growth of medicinal plants and promptly report when difficulties and problems arise./.
