Check compliance with tourism laws

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong signed and issued Plan No. 2045/KH-BVHTTDL on inspecting compliance with legal regulations and ensuring quality of travel businesses, tourist accommodation establishments, tourist areas, tourist attractions, tourism training establishments and tour guides in 2025.

The objective of the plan is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of tourism service businesses, educational institutions that organize exams and issue certificates of tour guide skills and certificates of tourism operation skills; carry out administrative reforms, raise public awareness; resolutely handle officials who violate, are negative, cause difficulties or cover up for units that do not comply with regulations.

At the same time, raise awareness of state management agencies, investors and managers about compliance with legal regulations in tourism business and service quality control, rapid, comprehensive and sustainable development.

The inspection also creates a fundamental change in improving professionalism and service quality, ensuring environmental hygiene; building a healthy business environment; raising awareness of civilized behavior, polite and friendly attitude in serving customers for all staff in the tourism industry.

Besides, it demonstrates the determination and strong commitment of the tourism industry in awareness and action in rectifying and improving the quality of tourism services, meeting the requirements of promoting tourism development.

The inspection was carried out in a number of key tourism development areas including Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Lam Dong, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Binh Duong.

According to the plan, the inspection contents include state management of tourism activities, tour guides, tourist areas/destinations and tourist accommodation; compliance with legal regulations of travel businesses and tourist accommodation establishments; inspection of educational establishments organizing exams and granting professional certificates...

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize specific assigned activities; proactively establish inspection teams to supervise compliance with legal regulations and ensure the quality of travel businesses, tourist accommodation systems, tourism training establishments and tour guide activities.

The Department of Tourism, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinate with the working group to implement tasks according to plan.
