Kien Giang province has just put into operation a system of 41 AI cameras to monitor security and order, prevent and combat crimes in the coastal island city of Phu Quoc according to Project 06 of the Government.

This AI Camera system is installed at key locations, traffic gateways, and crowded areas such as: Bai Vong Passenger Port, An Thoi Port, Phu Quoc International Airport,Sun Group Phu Quoc, Corona Casino Phu Quoc, night market, Ho Chi Minh Square...

The leader of Kien Giang Provincial Police emphasized that the AI ​​Camera system will help enhance security monitoring capabilities, contribute to preventing and reducing crime, to ensure safety for people and tourists visiting and traveling to Phu Quoc Island.

On the other hand, this camera system also supports and helps improve traffic management, urban order monitoring, and is an important basis for other future public services of Phu Quoc city.

The installation of the AI ​​Camera system in Phu Quoc is one of the breakthroughs in the application of science and technology to serve the monitoring and management of the city in general and the Phu Quoc City Police in particular. Thereby, contributing to raising people's awareness when participating in traffic, preventing and fighting crimes, protecting the environment on the island...

Accordingly, the AI ​​Camera system is integrated with features such as facial recognition, license plate recognition, behavior analysis, detection of unusual situations... to support functional forces in managing and handling situations quickly and effectively.

After being put into operation, the AI ​​Camera system will monitor, especially identify criminals and suspects coming and going to Phu Quoc city, converting the management status of all types of subjects from manual to digital transformation in the fight against crime, to meet the requirements in the current situation.

Previously, Phu Quoc city also installed 6 security cameras at hot spots of littering in the natural environment to handle the situation of improper dumping causing environmental pollution.

The leaders of Phu Quoc city shared that, besides the positive aspects and achievements in the construction and development of Phu Quoc island so far, the process has also revealed many limitations in management in various fields, including the situation of social order and safety, and crimes at each time, place, and moment on the island, which are complicated and have high potential risks.

The operation of the AI ​​Camera system actively contributes to social management, State management in the fields of security and order, crime prevention and control and other related issues on Phu Quoc Island.
