Kim Thanh reduces 11 public service units.

At the 22nd meeting of the Kim Thanh District Party Committee Executive Board, term 2020-2025, held on December 12th, Kim Thanh District summarized and evaluated the results of implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017, of the Central Executive Committee on continuing to innovate and reorganize the organizational structure of the political system to be streamlined, effective, and efficient.

From 2017 to the present, Kim Thanh district has reduced 11 public service units (from 71 to 60 units), equivalent to 15.5%; and reduced 7 commune-level administrative units (from 21 to 14 units). The number of civil servants in district-level advisory and support agencies has decreased by 5, the number of civil servants in the government sector by 21, and the number of civil servants in associations and organizations by 3 compared to 2017.

The entire district also reduced 105 commune-level officials and civil servants; reduced 120 non-specialized personnel; one commune implemented the model where the Party Secretary also serves as the Chairman of the People's Committee (Tam Ky); and 72 out of 91 Party branches implemented the model where the Party Branch Secretary also serves as the Village Head, accounting for 79.1%.

Currently, Kim Thanh district is implementing a model where the Head of the District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department also serves as the Chairman of the District Fatherland Front Committee.

According to assessments, after the reorganization and streamlining of the organizational structure, all units, departments, and divisions are operating effectively; officials and employees are assigned to the right positions, suitable to the requirements of the tasks, and are able to make good use of their abilities and strengths.

Comrade Nguyen Huu Thong, Provincial Party Committee member and Secretary of the Kim Thanh District Party Committee, delivered a speech at the 22nd meeting of the District Party Committee Executive Board, term 2020-2025, on December 12th.

In the coming period, Kim Thanh district will continue to review and streamline its administrative apparatus.
