According to initial information, the landslide occurred at around 6:30 p.m., a large amount of earth and rock crashed into the side of a level 4 house on the alley of Hung Vuong Street (near Da Chien Hill). At this time, the people in the house managed to escape, but an 8-year-old girl (identity unknown) who was in the restroom area was trapped in the rubble.
Immediately after the incident, the functional forces of Xuan Truong Ward - Da Lat together with the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police and Rescue Police of Lam Dong Province were present to coordinate with local people to rescue the child.
After mobilizing more excavators and mechanical vehicles, at about 7:15 p.m., the authorities were able to bring the girl out safely. Immediately after, the child was taken to Lam Dong General Hospital for examination and treatment.
Currently, the authorities continue to block off the scene of the incident and assist people in clearing soil and rocks to ensure safety in the area.
In the evening of the same day, a landslide also occurred at Mimosa Pass; an ancient tree fell across the pass, causing partial traffic paralysis. Immediately after that, the functional forces of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat quickly cleared the scene, ensuring safety for vehicles traveling through this pass.
