17th Session of Tay Ninh City People's Council: Approved Resolution to rename 15 neighborhoods in the new Tan Ninh ward

At the meeting, the City People's Council approved the following reports and submissions: report on the results of activities in the first 6 months of 2025; report on the results of the thematic supervision "Promoting administrative reform, creating a foundation for building e-government in Tay Ninh city in the period of 2021-2025"; report on the results of the implementation of the 2024 supervision program of the City People's Council; report on the results of the examination of 2 Committees of the City People's Council on a number of issues related to the fields of socio -economics, security - defense, anti-corruption, negativity and settlement of complaints and denunciations; report on the conclusion of the session chair at the question-and-answer session at the 13th session of the City People's Council; report on the results of handling voters' opinions and recommendations before the 17th session; Report on the issuance of a Resolution to rename neighborhoods in Ward 1, Ward 2 and Ward IV after the wards' merger and some other report contents.

In the first 6 months of the year, Tay Ninh city collected more than 351 billion VND in state budget revenue, reaching 45.34% of the plan, equal to 97.26% over the same period. The total production value of some main industries reached more than 9,662 billion VND, reaching 44.83% of the plan, up 8.25% over the same period.

Regarding the public investment capital plan, in 2025, the province assigned the city a target of about 313.6 billion VND, with 56 projects; by the end of May 2025, about 95 billion VND had been implemented, reaching 30.35% of the plan.

Trade and services are estimated to have achieved over VND4,850 billion, reaching 46.37% of the plan, up over 11% over the same period. The city implemented social security policies to support and give houses to 28 households, including 4 near-poor households and 24 poor households in the resettlement area of Binh Minh commune and ward 1, with a total cost of over VND2.5 billion.

State management of health, culture, sports, family, information, etc. is ensured; government building and administrative reform are strengthened.

The People's Council delegates agreed on the contents of the report presented at the meeting. The meeting also passed a resolution to seek opinions on renaming 15 neighborhoods in the new Tan Ninh ward, including neighborhoods of current wards 1, 2 and 4 after the wards were merged.
