Pasteur Institute improves testing capacity for provincial and district health care

On the morning of June 25, Pasteur Institute coordinated with Ca Mau General Hospital to organize a training course on "Internal assessment of medical testing quality management".

• Training to provide information and enhance capacity in eco-labeling.
• Training conference on the organization and operation of Party and government organizations.
• Training to enhance skills in disseminating and educating about the law.
• Training on statistical work to serve the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

The training course, part of the project "Enhancing Capacity for Global Health Security Implementation in Southern Vietnam, 2021-2025", took place over three days (June 25-27) and was attended by 44 participants from provincial and district hospitals in Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces.

Before the training session, the trainees participated in an entrance exam to assess their initial performance.

The training sessions focused on enhancing the capacity of auditors, the audit process and audit methodologies, establishing internal audit plans and programs, guidance on using the criteria set, and guidance on using the electronic toolset.

The trainees received instruction and practical training right at Ca Mau Provincial General Hospital.

Ms. Dang Thuy Trang, M.Sc., Deputy Director of Ca Mau Provincial General Hospital, delivered the opening remarks at the training course.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Dang Thuy Trang, Deputy Director of Ca Mau Provincial General Hospital, emphasized: “Improving the quality of laboratory testing is extremely important for laboratory work, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results, thereby contributing to improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment. It also affirms the prestige and professional capacity of the laboratory within the healthcare system.”

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a training certificate in "Internal Assessment of Medical Laboratory Quality Management" issued by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (USCDC).
