On the afternoon of May 14, the Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch coordinated with the Provincial Police to organize a conference to sign a joint credit program for people who have completed their prison sentences according to Decision No. 22 of the Prime Minister .
According to the signed program, the Provincial Police and the Provincial Bank for Social Policies Branch will coordinate in disseminating and propagating credit for people who have completed their prison sentences in the area; providing loans to people who have completed their prison sentences, production and business establishments that employ people who have completed their prison sentences according to regulations, ensuring the right subjects and sufficient conditions for loans; implementing solutions to guide borrowers to use loans for the right purposes and promote the effectiveness of capital sources.

At the same time, coordinate to inspect, monitor, handle and resolve arising issues and shortcomings during the implementation process; District and city police proactively synthesize and make a list of people who have completed their prison sentences in the area and are in need and eligible to borrow capital as a basis for the provincial branch of the Bank for Social Policies to disburse capital to ensure transparency and the right subjects.
In fact, implementing the credit program for people who have completed their prison sentences according to Decision No. 22 of the Prime Minister, the loan turnover at the Provincial Branch of the Social Policy Bank since the beginning of the year has reached nearly 8 billion VND, with 82 people who have completed their prison sentences receiving loans; outstanding loans from 2019 - 2023 reached more than 10 billion VND, with 113 people who have completed their prison sentences still having outstanding loans.
However, according to statistics from 2019 - 2023, the whole province still has more than 2,580 people who have completed their prison sentences within 5 years and are eligible for credit loans.
The signing of a joint program to implement credit for people who have completed their prison sentences between the Provincial Police and the Provincial Bank for Social Policies Branch is of great significance in order to effectively implement the policies of the Party and the State. Thereby, helping people who have completed their prison sentences and production and business establishments that employ people who have completed their prison sentences to access preferential loans from the Government, thereby stabilizing their lives, reintegrating into the community, contributing to ensuring security and order in the area.
