For example, teachers fixing scarves for students, teachers stroking students' hair... used to be beautiful, warm, and close images of teacher-student relationships. These actions of teachers make students feel loved, and parents feel warm. But now, these actions may not be encouraged, according to experts.
TEACHING PROFESSION IS IMPORTANT CONTENT
In the current training programs at pedagogical universities, pedagogical content plays an important role. Dr. Mai My Hanh, Deputy Head of the Psychology Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, said: "The school is very interested in training pedagogical skills for students right from the first year. Pedagogical skills are an important expertise and a prerequisite to become a teacher."
With the psychological changes in today's students, young teachers are required to have a very skillful and flexible pedagogical communication style.

According to Dr. My Hanh, the school's training program provides knowledge about student psychology, principles of pedagogical communication, pedagogical communication skills and especially the ethical requirements of teachers. These contents are spread from the first year of study to the pedagogical internship process through modules such as: teacher introduction, educational psychology, age psychology and pedagogy, pedagogical communication and soft skills. Pedagogical behavioral skills are also regularly organized through seminars, student club activities, pedagogical competitions, professional internship seminars, etc.
Similarly, Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Head of the Faculty of Education at Saigon University, also said that in the curriculum of teacher training programs, in addition to providing specialized knowledge, teaching methods, and classroom skills, there is an important part related to psychology. In the total duration of 120 credits of the program, there are up to 5 credits belonging to the basic part of the major related to psychology and homeroom teacher activities. Specifically, there are modules such as: general psychology (30 periods), age psychology - pedagogical psychology (30 periods), homeroom teachers (20 periods)... In addition to the official curriculum, through clubs and pedagogical competitions, students also have the opportunity to study and practice responding to real pedagogical situations.
T STUDENT PHYSIOLOGY DEVELOPMENT AND CHANGES COMPARED TO BEFORE
"Although the program has devoted a considerable amount of time to training communication skills and pedagogical situations, it can be said that it is not enough in the context of teachers having a lot of pressure like today. Especially when the psychological development of students has changed a lot compared to before. Currently, the age of puberty for learners is no longer after 10 years old but sometimes only 8 years old, that is, 3rd grade students", Dr. Ngoc added.
Teachers in the technology age are both teachers and "great friends" of students.

Faced with changes in reality, Dr. Ngoc believes that not only the duration but also the training content needs to be updated promptly to meet new requirements. As an example of this change in pedagogical skills training, Dr. Ngoc shared: "From a training perspective, teachers fixing scarves for students, teachers stroking students' hair... used to be beautiful, warm, and close images of teacher-student relationships. These actions of teachers make students feel loved, and parents feel warm. But that was in the past, and now these actions may not be encouraged."
Explaining this, Dr. Ngoc analyzed: "Currently, the distance between young teachers and students in terms of biological maturity is too close. If intimate actions are not performed properly, they can cause misunderstandings and misconceptions from many sides. Therefore, in related lectures, pedagogical students are reminded to keep a safe distance from students, even elementary school students. In classroom activities, teachers sometimes need to shake hands, even hug students to encourage them, but it needs to be done so that students feel the protection of their parents."
TO AVOID VIOLATING TEACHER'S ETHICS AND STANDARDS
The continuous incidents of pedagogical situations that have occurred recently show that the teaching profession is currently under a lot of pressure. What should teachers, especially young teachers, do to overcome these pressures?
Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc said: "Teachers only need to remember that the main goal in their daily work is to teach and guide students about the right things, the good things, and the beautiful things. Even in the process of working, teachers sometimes encounter difficult situations that need to be handled, and they always need to pay attention to behave according to the above goals" and added: "Teachers are people who are trained, guided, coached, and practiced to teach good things, the right things, and the beautiful things when they graduate, so first of all, they need to behave according to standards. When behaving according to standards, it is rare for students to dare to go beyond that standard."
As "soul engineers", teachers work not only with knowledge but also with communication skills and tact.

Dr. Mai My Hanh also said: "With the changes in psychology and physiology of today's students, the demands of society and the psychological differences between parents in the past and present, young teachers are required to have a very skillful and flexible pedagogical communication style."
According to Dr. My Hanh, young teachers must demonstrate their mettle and self-control according to pedagogical requirements but also demonstrate dynamism and creativity in their work.
Dr. My Hanh emphasized: "The root problem is how teachers have built their communication style. As teachers, we must be exemplary, friendly but not "all in one", listen but not tolerate mistakes, love students but not be lenient, respect students but not be able to "do whatever you want". From demeanor, gestures, eyes, facial expressions to language, from requirements in behavior between teachers and students, it is necessary to clarify in the first lesson with the joint contribution of the rules of conduct between teachers and students, which are unified and publicly presented on the classroom rules boards".
From teaching practice, Dr. My Hanh observed: "If teachers fulfill the requirements of pedagogical communication and classroom organization, they will not let their behavior be excessive. Importantly, teachers need to determine who they are when they come to school. When entering the classroom, teachers themselves must be exemplary and eliminate private, biased, and personal factors. If they cannot position themselves, they will easily violate the ethical standards of teachers."
"Young teachers need to be highly aware of their responsibility to the teaching profession, those who shoulder the mission of training human resources for the country. Teachers do their job not only with knowledge but also with communication skills and sophistication because teachers are "engineers of the soul". The most important tool to be a teacher is teacher ethics. The training of these factors comes from the love for the profession, integrity and self-respect under the many impacts of the current context. Pedagogical schools provide students with a lot of pedagogical skills, but in the end, the teacher's conscience is nurtured by you to perfect", Dr. My Hanh shared more with young teachers.
Regularly train teachers in pedagogical communication skills
Dr. Mai My Hanh also said that it is necessary to regularly train teachers and add topics on communication and behavior, improving teachers' ethics in the new context; content on student psychology, the art of handling situations in communication with students, parents and related parties.
In particular, according to Dr. Hanh, regular training of teachers in pedagogical communication skills after graduation needs to be focused on and implemented more effectively. The changing psychology of students and the social context greatly affect the mindset of parents in communicating with teachers today. It is really necessary for teachers to be trained in a cycle to promptly grasp new issues. This needs to be done continuously, it is impossible to learn once and work for life. For teachers, self-study is very important for the perfection of pedagogical skills and expertise in work.
