The entrance exam for grade 10 of public high schools in Hanoi for the 2025-2026 school year will take place on June 7-8.

With nearly 104,000 candidates registered for the exam, the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training will mobilize about 16,000 officials and teachers to participate in exam supervision at more than 200 exam locations.

Head of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Anh district Dang Viet Ha said that the whole district has 5,798 students registered to take the entrance exam to grade 10 high school.

The district plans to organize 10 examination sites including five high schools and five middle schools. The Department has reviewed and made a list of staff and teachers of middle schools that meet the required quantity and are ready to take on the task.

Having worked for many years in exams, teacher Le Viet Duong, Principal of Doan Ket-Hai Ba Trung High School (Hai Ba Trung District) said that in order to focus on organizing the exams and ensuring that staff are always ready and fully trained, the school does not organize extracurricular activities or group picnics in May and June.

The officers expected to work as exam invigilators are selected based on their capacity and qualities.

The entrance exam for grade 10 of public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year will take place over two days (June 7-8). In the morning of June 7, candidates will take the Literature exam, and in the afternoon, they will take the Foreign Language exam. On the morning of June 8, candidates will take the Math exam.

With about 64% of candidates passing the public school entrance exam, this exam is always highly competitive, attracting special attention from society.

Therefore, to ensure transparency and fairness, the organization of the exam is strictly and seriously directed by the Hanoi City Examination and Admissions Steering Committee. In particular, the exam supervision stage is always given top priority.

The selection of exam invigilators must ensure quantity and quality. All schools must review and make a list of personnel who meet the general criteria.

Based on the actual situation, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training issued a decision to mobilize leaders and teachers to participate in leading, invigilating, and supervising exam rooms at all exam sites according to the following principle: Each exam room is arranged with two exam invigilators from two different units; exam invigilators are not allowed to invigilate at exam sites where students from their school are working.

These are people with good moral qualities, awareness of law compliance, many years of experience in taking exams, and a high sense of responsibility.

In order to avoid being passive when situations arise, the Department requires schools to proactively arrange a number of reserve personnel, ready to take on replacement tasks in case colleagues fall ill or cannot continue their duties due to force majeure, ensuring that the exam organization stages are not interrupted, and that no stage is left blank.

Along with strict personnel selection, the Department focuses on training exam regulations for exam invigilators.

In addition to professional considerations, the team of teachers working as exam supervisors are thoroughly trained in measures to detect and prevent the use of high-tech devices to cheat in exams.

Exam invigilators are instructed to identify sophisticated devices such as: micro-headphones, pens with cameras, smart watches, disguised voice recorders, etc.; and are instructed on how to handle violations quickly and in accordance with regulations when they are detected, so as not to affect the organization of the exam.

In addition, the team of teachers participating in the exam invigilation work is also trained in skills to handle situations that arise in the exam room, from candidates forgetting or losing their exam papers, to health emergencies, electrical problems, and disorder in the exam room...

All handling options are built according to standard procedures, taking into account many scenarios to ensure fairness, transparency, and avoid negative impacts on candidates' psychology...
