- According to Ms. Ho Thi Thuong - President of the Women's Union of Ta Long commune , in recent years, more and more young workers in the locality have boldly started their own businesses, promoting existing agricultural and forestry strengths, applying new knowledge and proactively accessing support resources. They are the ones who "dare to think, dare to do" and have initially achieved success.
One of the typical models is the family of Ms. Ho Thi Lanh and Mr. Ho Van Tang in Xi Pa village. Although still very young, the couple has built and effectively developed a comprehensive model including afforestation, livestock raising and agricultural production. The stable income from this model has helped them build a spacious house, buy a truck for production, and at the same time create jobs for many workers in the village.
Ho Thi Lanh and Ho Van Tang were always of one mind when starting a business and were able to buy a truck to serve their family's production.
33km from the commune center, in Pa Ngay village - an area with many difficulties, the family of Ms. Ho Thi Lanh and Mr. Ho Van Lieu is also a bright spot in the startup movement. Taking advantage of the local advantages, they collect agricultural products for villagers to bring to the market for consumption, open a grocery store, develop livestock farming and take on forest care contracts. Thanks to the dynamism and diversification of income sources, the family's life is increasingly stable and developing.
Accompanying the start-up models, the Women's Union of Ta Long commune plays an important role, helping women and young people access necessary knowledge, skills and resources. The Union regularly organizes training courses on livestock farming techniques, household economic management, vocational training... In particular, connecting with the Social Policy Bank to support members with preferential loans has created great motivation for many households to rise up and take control of their lives.
Currently, the entire Ta Long commune is receiving loans from the Policy Bank with a total amount of more than 20 billion VND, of which women members alone have accessed nearly 10 billion VND from this source of capital. Training courses on business planning, market access guidance and product development are also gradually improving people's economic thinking.
In parallel, Ta Long commune also effectively implements sustainable poverty reduction programs, supports livelihood development, builds houses and eliminates temporary houses. These are activities directly managed and coordinated by the locality.
Another special resource that helps many families start their businesses effectively is labor export. Currently, the whole commune has 73 workers working in Japan, including 12 female members. After returning, many people have accumulated capital to start businesses, invest in production and improve living conditions.
Those small but steady steps are bringing new vitality to the land of Ta Long, turning remote villages into the origin of proud stories of self-reliance and entrepreneurship, where the spirit of overcoming difficulties is fueled by knowledge, resources and the desire to change one's life.
