Expecting a new term of "unity, creativity, for the people"

On July 30, the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Long province (term 2024-2029) officially opened. This is a broad political activity contributing to raising awareness of promoting the tradition of great national unity; of the position and role of the front in the current period.

With the congress title "Strengthening the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, continuing to promote the tradition of great national unity, building Vinh Long province increasingly prosperous", many delegates expressed their wishes and expectations that the front's work will have many innovations, contributing more positively to the cause of building and developing the homeland.

As a delegate to the 10th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, I hope that all the programs, directions and goals of the congress will be materialized in the lives of the people. From there, promote the spirit and intelligence of the Fatherland Front at all levels in caring for the lives of the people, especially building the great national unity bloc towards a practical action program; together with all classes of people, unite to effectively implement the province's social security policies.

At the same time, as a member organization of the provincial Fatherland Front, the Red Cross at all levels wishes to bring a spirit of solidarity to the congress. In the past, the Red Cross and the Fatherland Front signed a program of coordination to effectively implement social security work, especially in mobilizing resources to support the disadvantaged and the disadvantaged in the province. In the coming time, the Red Cross at all levels will be determined to implement the entire action program of the Fatherland Front to bring a congress with much confidence, victory and especially the expectation of the new term towards the grassroots, towards the people, building a united and compassionate community.

In the 2019-2024 term, the action programs and specific targets of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee have achieved positive results. Notably, the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" has created a spread. Thanks to that, rural areas, especially those with a large population of Khmer people, have increasingly prospered and developed. Accordingly, from "electricity, roads, schools, stations" being invested in, cultural and entertainment aspects have also become more abundant.

For the next term of the Front work, we have high expectations and believe that with what has been achieved, the Front work will be further innovated and developed more strongly so that the lives of the people in the province in general, the people in rural areas, and the Khmer ethnic people in particular will increasingly develop, have a stable life, be well-off, and become rich.

The Front is the "red thread" to connect all classes of people, all social strata, we expect and believe that in the 2024-2029 term, with the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, the great national unity bloc of the country in general, our province in particular, will become increasingly stronger, further tightening the spirit of great national unity, ethnic and religious solidarity.

Attending the 10th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, I found that the congress documents were carefully prepared; in which the main tasks, targets and breakthroughs in the new term were clearly identified. In particular, for the 2024-2029 term, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has proposed the 6th action program on "Building self-governing, united, prosperous and happy residential areas". This is also the expectation of localities to contribute to the system of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations to gather the people to organize the construction of model residential areas in terms of socio -economic development, residential areas with civilized, cultural and developed life.

In the coming time, we hope that the leadership and guidance of the new term Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will closely orient the grassroots, pay direct attention to residential areas to support residential areas to build a more and more developed life. At the same time, we hope that in the new term, the higher-level Fatherland Front will continue to have orientations, support training and guidance for the team doing front work at all levels in the province to be proficient in professional skills, apply digital transformation to carry out front work more effectively in the current period.

As a delegate to this congress, I am very excited about the achievements that the provincial Fatherland Front has achieved in the past term. Specifically, the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas associated with the campaign of all people unite to build cultural life". In addition, the effective implementation of the task of social supervision and criticism has helped enhance the role of the Fatherland Front.

In the coming term, I hope that the provincial Fatherland Front will have specific plans to guide the Fatherland Front at all levels to effectively implement the construction of self-governing, united, prosperous and happy residential areas as set out in the action program. I myself will strengthen coordination with member organizations at the grassroots level to continue to propagate the results achieved in the past term, as well as the tasks in the coming term, in order to contribute together with the Party Committee, government, people and mass organizations to well perform political tasks in the locality.

Mr. Mai Thanh Ho - Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province: "Youth unite, be creative, and take the initiative to build the homeland"

The province currently has 122,140 young people; of which, there are 36,650 union members; accounting for 11.87% of the province's population. This is a force that plays a pioneering role in all movements, is dynamic, creative, dares to think, dares to do, and quickly approaches modern knowledge. Most young people are responsible for themselves, their families, and society, are aware of promoting the nation's fine traditional values, and take practical actions for the community. As the youngest delegate attending the 10th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (term 2024-2029), I feel honored and responsible when the youth of the province have made efforts to contribute to "igniting" the work of the provincial front in recent times.

The desire of the youth in the coming term is to study, work, have a favorable environment to establish themselves, build a career and have the opportunity to contribute their talents to society. Strengthening and expanding the solidarity front, gathering the youth is also contributing to building and developing the great national solidarity bloc. With great efforts and determination, in the new term, with new expectations for the innovation of the provincial front work, the youth of Vinh Long are determined to join with the units in the province to contribute to building Vinh Long more and more civilized, rich and modern.
