Coach Xabi Alonso has not yet decided to remove Mbappe from the match list as he still hopes the player can recover. The final decision will only be made on the morning of the match.
“Mbappe is a little better this morning but he is still not fully fit. So I think the best thing is to let him sit out training. Let’s see how he is. I will only make a final decision at the last minute,” the Spaniard said.
If Mbappe is unable to play, Real Madrid will suffer a big loss. He is the only player who can play as a striker in the Los Blancos squad at the moment. Youngster Endrick will not be able to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup after being injured in the match against Sevilla last month.

Mbappe had a great first season at Real Madrid, scoring 31 goals in La Liga, finishing as the league's top scorer and winning the European Golden Shoe.
Coach Xabi Alonso affirmed that the entire Real Madrid team needs to apply pressing in a synchronized manner. He shared: “Overcoming the weaknesses in defense is very important. This is one of the tasks we need to solve in both the short and long term. That will determine our success.”
Real Madrid are one of the top candidates for the FIFA Club World Cup. They are the most successful club in this tournament, having won 5 titles.
