This morning (June 21), the province is forecast to have moderate rain, heavy rain in some places, with accumulated rainfall ranging from 20-30mm, and over 50mm in some places. Therefore, in the next 6 hours, there is a risk of flash floods, landslides and localized flooding in some localities, with a level 1 disaster risk warning.
Accordingly, the districts of Sin Ho, Tam Duong, Tan Uyen, Phong Tho are at high risk of flash floods and landslides. Meanwhile, the districts of Nam Nhun, Than Uyen, Muong Te and Lai Chau city are at medium and lower risk of flash floods and landslides.
The Lai Chau Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control recommends that the Steering Committees for Disaster Prevention and Control of districts, towns, cities and people in the province proactively develop plans to cope with natural disasters; and promptly report to the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control when natural disasters occur.
