Clip of two female students in Ho Chi Minh City fighting in the restroom resurfaced

On November 7, a clip over 1 minute long was circulated on social media, recording two female students fighting in the restroom of a middle school in Ho Chi Minh City.

In this clip, two female students grabbed each other’s hair, wrestled, and repeatedly slapped each other in the face and head, and kicked each other. There were many other students in the bathroom at the time of the fight, but no one intervened and did not report it to the teacher, they just stood and watched.

Both female students who fought were wearing gym uniforms with the words Phu An Secondary School written on them. This school is located in Phu An Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Phu An Ward, Ben Cat City, Binh Duong Province).

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said it was aware of the incident and was asking the principal of Phu An Secondary School to report. The leader of Phu An Ward People's Committee said he was verifying the incident and would provide further information.

Previously, in the restroom of An Dien Secondary School, Long Nguyen Ward (formerly An Dien Ward, Ben Cat City, Binh Duong Province), a group of female students were beaten in the restroom. The victim was an 8th grade female student, who was beaten to the point of multiple injuries, 3 cracked ribs, and mental panic. The school and authorities determined that 6 students participated in the beating of their classmates. The police have filed a case to deter and educate the students involved.
