Lam Dong welcomes 10 millionth tourist in 2024

(LĐ online) - In the jubilant atmosphere of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival, at 9:00 a.m. this morning (December 30), Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Tran Hong Thai, went directly to Lien Khuong International Airport to welcome the 10 millionth tourist to Lam Dong in 2024.

Achieving a record number of 10 million visitors in 2024 is the result of the continuous efforts of the provincial tourism industry, along with the enthusiastic support of tourists.

Sharing with tourists and flight crew of Vietnam Airlines, the airline that carried the 10 millionth passenger to Lam Dong on the morning of December 30 at Lien Khuong airport, Mr. Tran Hong Thai said: The event of welcoming the 10 millionth passenger marks an important milestone for the province's tourism industry.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Hong Thai said: "Welcoming the 10 millionth visitor is a meaningful event, a source of pride for all Lam Dong people. This is a clear demonstration of the remarkable development of the tourism industry, and at the same time affirms the province's continuous efforts in building and promoting the image of Lam Dong tourism to international friends."

Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Lam Dong province presented gifts to express gratitude to the Vietnam Airlines flight crew carrying the 10 millionth passenger to Lam Dong.

With the success achieved in 2024, the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that the province aims to continue to promote investment in tourism infrastructure, improve quality, diversify tourism products, etc. to attract more and more tourists to the locality.
