At the scene, the units urgently brought in construction machinery, drove dozens of steel sheet piles (Larsen piles) to reinforce the negative slope, and drilled anchors, treated the roadbed and slope. The reinforcement work is to prevent the risk of widespread landslides at the section from Km223+240 to Km234+000. The functional forces also closely monitored the geology and surface flow to proactively respond when there are unusual developments.

Mimosa Pass is a vital traffic route connecting the center of Da Lat City with neighboring localities, especially for trucks transporting goods. In the context of neighboring passes such as Khanh Le Pass (National Highway 27C), D'ran Pass (National Highway 20), Prenn Pass being temporarily closed due to landslides, the role of Mimosa Pass becomes even more important. Sacom Pass (Tuyen Lam Lake tourist area) is currently narrow and does not allow trucks to pass.

As reported by SGGP, on the afternoon of November 18, a landslide about 20m long and 1-2m deep appeared on Mimosa Pass, threatening traffic safety. Immediately after that, the Lam Dong Department of Construction divided the traffic and banned trucks with a total load of 15 tons or more from passing through this area. Other vehicles were still allowed to move normally.
