
On the morning of November 20, the leader of Kien Giang Maritime Port Authority (An Giang province) said that due to bad weather, ships and ferries from Rach Gia, Ha Tien to Phu Quoc and vice versa have temporarily stopped operating until further notice.
Specifically, the high-speed ferry routes temporarily suspended include: Rach Gia, Ha Tien to Phu Quoc, Nam Du and vice versa. The route Rach Gia to Lai Son, Hon Tre and vice versa is managed by the inland port authority and is still operating normally.
The leader of Kien Giang Maritime Port Authority added that according to the weather report of An Giang Province Hydrometeorological Station, the weather on November 20 in An Giang sea area had unusually strong winds, East and Northeast winds at level 4, level 5, gusts at level 6, level 7, waves from 1.5 to 2.5m high, so the unit requested ships to temporarily stop operations to ensure safety for people and vehicles.
Representatives of shipping and ferry companies informed that as soon as they received the notice of temporary suspension of operations from Kien Giang Maritime Port Authority, the companies notified their agents and customers, and refunded passengers who booked train tickets in advance or transferred them to the next day if the weather was good.
