The conference focused on discussing the socio-economic situation in July and the first 7 months of 2025; the disbursement of public investment capital, 3 national target programs and the Draft on timely response to US tariffs.
Attending at the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee bridge were comrades: Nguyen Hoai Anh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Ngoc Phuc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and branches.
At the conference, the Minister of Home Affairs reported the results after 1 month of implementing the 2-level local government, highly appreciating the efforts and consistency of localities in performing their tasks. Initial results showed stability and smoothness in the operation of the 2-level government, bringing satisfaction to the people.
To further improve operational efficiency, the Minister of Home Affairs requested localities to focus on perfecting policies and institutions and providing professional training for local officials. At the same time, review the team of commune-level officials and strengthen the team of civil servants, especially in the fields of information technology, justice and finance.
The conference also spent time discussing the disbursement of public investment capital and socio-economic indicators. Localities with good and high disbursement rates shared their experiences. Localities with poor disbursement rates pointed out the causes and proposed solutions.
During the discussion, localities also raised difficulties that need to be resolved by the Central Government. At the same time, lessons learned were analyzed to propose tasks and solutions to promote socio-economic development, towards the goals of 2025 and the following years.
Attending the conference, comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee reported on the socio-economic situation, public investment, and results of implementing the two-level local government of the locality.
According to the report of the Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, immediately after the merger, the province promptly issued Resolutions to lead and direct the implementation of tasks and solutions for socio-economic development in the last months of the year.
The Provincial People's Committee has developed and issued a growth scenario for the remaining months of 2025, with the goal of striving for annual growth of over 8%; striving to disburse 100% of public investment capital; and budget revenue exceeding 20% of the estimate assigned by the Prime Minister.
After 1 month of implementing the arrangement of provincial administrative units and operating the 2-level local government in Lam Dong, some initial positive results have been achieved. The direction and operation work has been carried out consistently, without any delay or interruption in handling work.
The business community, businessmen, people and all cadres and party members of Lam Dong province are happy and excited with important results in all fields.
The province is also paying special attention and focusing on resolving all the stuck projects. These are the problems left over from previous years. The locality is compiling all of them, clearly defining which types are under the province's authority, which types are under the authority of the commune and the central government. This will be completed in August and then reported to and submitted to the Government.
Regarding the issue of operating a two-level government, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Lam Dong, like other provinces, also faces difficulties and fragmented areas. To resolve the problem, the province is sending provincial officials to the commune level to support training for local officials to better grasp the new work.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also said that Lam Dong is currently reviewing commune-level cadres to balance both the Party and government sectors. At the same time, the review is being organized to rearrange the team of commune-level cadres appropriately and synchronously to meet long-term tasks.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised Lam Dong's proactive spirit in reviewing and classifying difficulties and obstacles according to each level of authority to proactively remove them and promote investment and development.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Lam Dong currently has two great potentials that you are possessing in your hands, which are services, especially tourism services, and industry.
Comrades must be strong, determined, proactive, and have the right approach to exploit these two great potentials.
