More than 20km from the center of Hue city, the communes of Quang Ngan and Quang Cong (Quang Dien district) have 12km of coastline with many beautiful beaches, such as: Tan My, Cuong Giang, Tan Thanh... with moderate depth, clear blue water, long white sand beaches. The sea here still retains its wild beauty and many rustic dishes with strong local characteristics.

At the end of April, we had the opportunity to join the launching ceremony of the Quang Dien Sea Tourism Season 2023. We noticed many changes due to the self-renewal of sea tourism through the efforts of the local government and coastal people. Quang Dien district has implemented many solutions to exploit and promote the strengths of the sea in tourism development, especially investing in completing infrastructure and facilities at the beaches; mobilizing and supporting businesses to decorate and create highlights at the beach.

“From resources, the district has invested in facilities and technical infrastructure to serve the development of services and tourism, such as: expanding and renewing some roads, building welcome gates, tourist parking lots, building guard towers to ensure safety when tourists swim in the sea; directing the leveling of the ground, rearranging shops and creating conditions to open more businesses to promote services, in order to meet the needs of tourists”, informed Vo Viet Duc, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Quang Dien district.

Up to now, a number of investment projects to develop coastal tourism have been and are being implemented, such as: The Ruoc Village Resort Project in Cuong Giang Village, Quang Cong Commune has just come into operation, which is an ideal resort for those who love to romantically watch the sunrise from here. A number of homestay accommodation facilities have been invested in and built to serve the accommodation needs of tourists. Many organizations, units and individuals have applied for permission to survey and invest in coastal tourism projects. In addition, the diverse and rich seafood dishes of Tam Giang lagoon and Quang Dien sea with available brands and affordable prices are also the reasons why thousands of tourists come here to have fun and relax.

Friendly, hospitable

Chairman of the District People's Committee Le Ngoc Bao affirmed that developing tourism in Quang Dien district is an important task of the people and local authorities, and this is also a key program for developing services and tourism according to the Resolution of the 14th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025. In the coming time, the district will continue to promote propaganda, promotion and introduction of historical and cultural values, potentials and strengths of the sea and sea tourism, contributing to promoting service and tourism activities, creating more jobs and increasing income for people. Promote activities to connect tours, tourist routes and build tour programs suitable to existing potentials and strengths, increase connections and cooperation with tourism companies and travel agencies inside and outside the province for sightseeing and relaxation.

At the same time, mobilize people to boldly invest in infrastructure, develop services and tourism to serve tourists more and more diversely and richly, creating satisfaction for tourists when visiting, experiencing and using tourism products and services; communicating and behaving in a civilized and polite manner; preserving the landscape and environment, and disposing of garbage in the right place. Ensuring security and order, food safety and hygiene, fire and explosion prevention and control; and disease prevention and control. Posting appropriate prices and providing attentive service to tourists.

Quang Dien's sea tourism is gathering potentials and strengths for development. Propaganda and mobilization to build the image of Quang Dien people as friendly and hospitable, aiming at each person as a tour guide. The government and people of Quang Dien are joining hands to build the sea tourism brand to become a familiar, ideal and attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
