"The players and I are really happy. I think it's been a great season. For the first season, winning a title is extremely important. In addition, we reached the final of the ASEAN Club Cup, only losing to Buriram on penalties, and finished third in the V-League to qualify for the Asian Cup next season. For a new team, I think it's a great achievement.
It's all thanks to the players. They believe in my football philosophy, believe in the way we build our game. That's the most beautiful thing for any coach, when you see your players believe and execute the right tactical ideas. We always try to play beautiful football, control and create many opportunities. And today, a 5-0 victory in a final is a worthy result," coach CAHN emphasized.
"SLNA is a team with a lot of fighting spirit. But my players played a perfect match. I am very happy. Football is about emotions. Those are tears of happiness, not tears of sadness. I am really happy because this is an important title for the club, for the players and also for me personally. I always live fully in every moment of the match. When you are too happy, sometimes the emotions just burst out.
For now, we will rest a bit. Then, hopefully next season, we can compete for the V-League championship. The whole team is very proud of what we have achieved this season, but the ambition is certainly even greater," Coach Polking concluded.
