The network includes a technical advisory board, a secretariat and specialized working groups. These specialized working groups include: Green Agriculture - developing sustainable agriculture initiatives and digital agriculture; Green Tourism - promoting sustainable and responsible tourism models; Green Mekong Youth - aiming to raise awareness and entrepreneurship capacity of young people in the environmental field.
The network operates through a mechanism of developing regular action plans, holding quarterly or 6-monthly meetings, publishing specialized newsletters and organizing other specific activities. In particular, the public-private partnership mechanism is the key to realizing sustainable development initiatives for the Mekong Delta region.
Mr. Pham Thien Nghia, Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, hopes that the Mekong Green Transformation Network will be maintained and developed to become an effective public-private cooperation and dialogue platform associated with innovation, to support and develop businesses and promote green economic orientation in the area.

In his speech, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat - Minister of Science and Technology said that he was very pleased with the idea of forming a Mekong green transformation network of the organizing unit. In the coming time, he hopes to have more ideas for green development, demonstrating the aspirations of the Mekong Delta.

Also today, Dong Thap province announced the results and awarded the prizes of the Mekong Initiative 2024 competition. According to the organizers, the competition aims to find initiatives and solutions in reducing emissions, contributing to the goal of green transformation, aiming to contribute to the economic development of the Mekong Delta in a sustainable direction, adapting to climate change.
After one month of launching, the program received 136 entries from 18 provinces and cities across the country. Of these, 79 were from Dong Thap province and 14 were from Ho Chi Minh City. After two rounds of competition, 10 excellent teams made it to the final round.
The Organizing Committee of the Mekong Delta Startup Forum announced the results and awarded the prizes of the Mekong Initiative 2024 competition.
As a result, the first prize went to author Nguyen Trung Tinh (Dong Thap) with the project "Circular value chain to reduce emissions in the aquaculture industry Alpha Amin". The second prize went to author Le Thi Thu Ngan (HCMC) with the project "Airboots - Super light robot to take care of rice plants with three functions of spraying, fertilizing and sowing seeds" and the third prize went to author Ho Ngoc Tram (Dong Thap) with the project "Thuan Thien Viet Mekong Farmstay Resort Farm", the remaining 7 projects received consolation prizes.
