First exhibition of 100 years of journalism history

The 2025 National Press Festival with the theme “Vietnamese Press - Loyal, Creative, Courageous, Innovative for the Cause of Building and Protecting the Fatherland” took place from June 19 to 21 at the National Convention Center, Pham Hung Street, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi.

The press conference organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association is a special event within the framework of activities commemorating the historical milestone of 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press.

There are more than 80 press units participating.

The press conference had more than 80 central and local press units participating, with nearly 130 unique press booths of newspapers and magazines from popular to specialized, and of major journalism training institutions.

Many press agencies demonstrate multi-platform press products, applying new technologies such as AI, 3D modeling, holofan, virtual reality, etc.

At the press conference, for the first time, a space to display the history of journalism was organized with profound and elaborate content, hosted by the Vietnam Press Museum. It was the thematic exhibition "100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism: Achievements and trends in journalism development in the new era".

Hot topic of journalism in the AI ​​era and journalism economics

In addition, this year the Vietnam Journalists Association continues to organize the 2nd National Press Forum with 12 discussion sessions.

Guests and experts who are leaders of press agencies, famous journalists, and prestigious international media experts will discuss many hot topics such as: Developing young user groups; AI and editorial strategies; Data journalism in Vietnamese editorial offices.

Or topics: What strategies does television use to retain readers? How does radio compete in the growing trend of podcasts? Personalizing content to retain loyal readers? Revenue sources - which mechanisms are really effective for newspapers?

Regarding the 19th National Press Awards 2024, the final jury selected 128 outstanding press works to award prizes, including: 13 A prizes, 27 B prizes, 49 C prizes and 39 Encouragement prizes.

This is also the first year that the National Press Awards have included two new categories: Multimedia Journalism and Creative Journalism.

The 19th National Press Awards Ceremony in 2024 will be held on the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, June 21, 2025, at My Dinh Athletics Palace.
