On the evening of July 21, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense continued to issue urgent notice No. 119 on releasing water from Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir, starting after 23:15.

The notice stated: At 19:09 on July 21, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 10 dated July 21 from Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company regarding the release of water from Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin and the hydrological situation at the project, Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to discharge water from Ban Ang Hydropower Reservoir as follows:

Estimated time of water regulation : After 23:15 on July 21, 2025.

Discharge flow: Total discharge flow is expected to be approximately 200m ³ /s to 500m ³ /s (including discharge through spillway gates and generator sets) and may vary depending on the flow to the lake.

Estimated time to completely discharge water through the spillway: When the water flow into the lake is less than the power generation flow through the generators.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense informs: Tuong Duong Commune People's Committee and Heads of provincial Departments, branches and sectors to inform authorities at all levels, agencies, units, investors who are constructing along the river, on the river, owners of water transport vehicles and all people in the downstream area of Ban Ang Hydropower Plant to ensure the safety of life and property of the state and people.

To ensure the safe operation of water discharge from Chau Thang Hydropower Reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and inter-reservoir procedures on the Ca River basin, the Standing Office of the Chau Thang Hydropower Reservoir Command Board of the province announces the expected regulation of Chau Thang Hydropower Reservoir as follows:

Estimated discharge time: 00:00 on July 22, 2025.

Discharge flow: Total discharge flow from ^74m3 /s - ^2,000m3 /s (Including discharge flow through the valve gate and power generation flow through the generators) and can change depending on the water flow to the lake.
