Spreading stories of people with disabilities

Sharing at the press conference about the program "Shining Vietnamese Willpower" in 2025, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, said that after 10 years of organization, the program "Shining Vietnamese Willpower" has truly spread to grassroots organizations of the Union, Vietnamese youth, to each Union base, becoming a regular, humane, meaningful activity, touching everyone's hearts.

At the same time, the program has encouraged, motivated and inspired young people with disabilities across the country to strive to assert themselves with extraordinary will, determination and self-respect of brave people.

Following those successes, the program "Shining Vietnamese Willpower" in 2025 was implemented from May to December 2025.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy, Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union shared at the press conference.

The program is organized to seek and honor typical examples of disabled youth who are resilient, overcome adversity and actively contribute to the development of the community; contribute to fostering a good life ideal for young people, promoting the rise of Vietnamese youth.

According to the plan, this year's program will honor 30 delegates who are disabled youth under the age of 35.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy said that this year, the Organizing Committee expanded the scope of support with the companion program "Youth with disabilities starting a business in the digital age", taking place from April to December 2025.

The program targets young people with disabilities who are nurturing ideas or already have a start-up model, especially in fields that apply technology such as: E-commerce, digital content production, online business, design, programming...

In addition to providing capital and production tools, the program also organizes training courses on sales skills and content development on digital platforms, helping young people with disabilities gain more practical knowledge to bring their products and services to the digital market.

Through this, the Organizing Committee hopes to create a spread and interest, calling on the social community to continue to support and accompany Vietnamese youth with disabilities, finding suitable and sustainable models to help them integrate into the community equally, confidently and effectively.

Nominations will be accepted from April 24 to July 1, 2025. The Council for selecting outstanding individuals will meet on July 10, 2025. The award ceremony will be held on August 19 and 20, 2025 in Hanoi.
