Spreading traditional cultural values ​​on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025

In order to contribute to preserving and conserving traditional cultural values ​​and fine customs of the Vietnamese people, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center (Vinh Loc, Thanh Hoa) organizes many unique and attractive activities, and opens its doors free of charge to serve the people, domestic and international tourists.

The ritual of releasing carp on the occasion of Ong Cong Ong Tao Festival at the Ho Dynasty Citadel heritage site on the occasion of the Lunar New Year every year contributes to preserving and conserving traditional cultural values.

The series of activities to celebrate the spring started right from the New Year. Specifically, from January 1 to March 30, 2025 (ie December 2 - March 2 of the lunar calendar), the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center will organize a photo exhibition space with the theme "Ho Dynasty Citadel - Heritage and Community" at the Ho Dynasty Citadel heritage site.

The displayed images include simple, everyday stories about the livelihood activities of people in the heritage area. The photo panels also provide more information about OCOP products; the close connection between heritage and the community in many different aspects...

On January 14 (December 15), the grounds of the Ho Dynasty Citadel will become a space to display spring flowers and ornamental plants with the theme 'spring flowers of the ancient capital'. Here, visitors can enjoy flowers and unique works of art about ornamental plants.

Next, on January 19 (December 20), at the Tay Do agricultural culture exhibition area, the ancient Tet space will be recreated with the theme 'Ancient Tet in the old city' to recreate a part of the traditional Tet space with very familiar culinary flavors such as banh chung, banh giay, peach blossom, apricot blossom, firecrackers...

On January 21 (December 22), at the South Gate of the Ho Dynasty Citadel, a heritageeducation program will take place with the following contents: Reenacting the Tet pole-raising ceremony of the past, releasing the fish in the Royal Palace.

On January 21 (December 22), at the South Gate of Ho Dynasty Citadel, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the summer video photo contest on Ho Dynasty Citadel heritage with the theme: "Brilliant ancient capital" will take place, organized by the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center in coordination with Tay Do Secondary School.

On January 31 (the 3rd day of Tet) at the South Gate of the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Site, there is a calligraphy and calligraphy festival with the theme: "Ancient Tet in the ancient citadel".

In addition, to connect heritage with the people and local communities, enhance the role of people in preserving and promoting heritage values ​​as well as the responsibility and interests of the community in preserving and promoting cultural heritage values, from January 30 to February 2, 2025 (ie the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th of Tet), the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center will organize a special art program to welcome the spring of At Ty by art clubs with the theme: "Spring colors of the ancient citadel".

On February 12 (January 15) at Dong Mon communal house (Dong Mon village, Vinh Long commune, Vinh Loc district), the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center will coordinate with local authorities to organize the Dong Mon village festival and cultural and artistic activities in the Ho Dynasty Citadel heritage area.

On this occasion, the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center will offer free admission to domestic and international visitors. The free admission period is from January 25 to January 29, 2025 (ie from December 26 to the first day of the Lunar New Year).

According to the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center, visitors to the heritage site on the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025 will also receive 100% free interpretation services, and will be served and experience 10 new tourism products and cultural spaces such as: Tay Do agricultural cultural space; outdoor exhibition space for artifacts.

Displaying models of cannons and reforms of the Ho Dynasty, archaeological excavation results, displaying the space of Tay Do Land and People, "Ho Dynasty Citadel - history, legend and archaeology". Displaying the stone of the citadel as a check-in point at the South Gate and the exhibition area of ​​Famous People of the Ho Dynasty.

Along with sightseeing routes to historical sites, scenic spots, traditional villages in the area associated with the characteristics of the Heritage such as: Sightseeing routes at the site; Heritage and ancient village sightseeing routes; Spiritual cultural tourism sightseeing routes.

Cultural heritage education activities organized by the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center in coordination with educational institutions in Thanh Hoa province, contribute to strongly spreading traditional cultural values ​​and creating sustainable vitality for heritage in the community.

It is known that, in order to promote the image of the Ho Dynasty Citadel heritage to domestic and international friends, raise awareness of community responsibility and better meet the needs of tourists for sightseeing and experience, in recent times, the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center has continuously diversified tourism products.

Regularly organize exhibitions at heritage sites; educational programs connecting the young generation with cultural and historical values; expand the exploitation of tourist routes to relic sites, scenic spots, and traditional villages in the area associated with the characteristics of the heritage.

In recent times, the Ho Dynasty Citadel heritage has continuously welcomed international delegations to visit and experience.

Build booths to introduce and sell OCOP products as well as renovate the heritage site, innovate and improve the quality of available services at the heritage site, creating a positive effect in the development of tourism in Thanh Hoa province.

Accordingly, each year the heritage attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors.

In 2024, Ho Dynasty Citadel welcomed 260,000 visitors to visit and experience, exceeding 103.7% over the same period in 2023.
