One of the highlights is the association of the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" with the National Target Program on new rural construction, focusing on criterion 17 on the environment. From 2021 to 2024, the Provincial Women's Union mobilized the construction of 120 hygienic toilets in Dong Van commune (old Binh Lieu district), worth 480 million VND; supported over 2 billion VND for 4 disadvantaged communes in Binh Lieu and Hai Ha districts through the program "Accompanying women in the border areas".
Along with that, many training courses on environmental protection and maintaining green, clean and beautiful border areas were organized, attracting a large number of women to participate. In particular, green economic models and animal husbandry associated with the use of biological products were also deployed, both creating livelihoods and minimizing environmental pollution.
From the foundation of “5 no, 3 clean”, many localities have developed into the movement “5 yes, 3 clean”, with more specific and realistic content of “5 yes”: Having a safe house, having a sustainable livelihood, having health, having knowledge, having a civilized lifestyle. This is a new step forward, affirming the proactive role of women in building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas.
In recent years, community-based environmental protection models have been widely deployed. Typically, since 2023, the Women's Union of Dong Ngu Commune (formerly Tien Yen District) has installed recycling collection points at Dong Ngu 2 Primary School, Dong Ngu Market Gate, and the Commune Cultural and Sports Center. These collection points not only help to classify and process recyclable waste such as newspapers, plastics, metals, and electronic devices, but also create a fund to support women and children in difficult circumstances. Up to now, the model has been maintained and expanded, becoming a form of both environmental protection and spreading the spirit of mutual love and support.
In particular, the model of "Composting organic fertilizer" from household waste has received a large response from members. In the past 3 years, the whole province has developed 1,110 new compost tanks, bringing the total to 9,753 tanks, with the participation of 7,738 households. In Dam Ha commune, this model has shown clear effectiveness, helping people take advantage of organic waste to produce fertilizer, reduce agricultural production costs and limit the situation of indiscriminate discharge into the environment.
It can be seen that the implementation of Resolution 06 does not stop at statistics or specific projects, but more importantly, it creates sustainable changes in the awareness and actions of people in mountainous areas. Each hygienic toilet, each compost tank, each recycling collection point contains the spirit of community solidarity and determination to join hands to preserve the environment.
In the context of economic development coupled with environmental protection being an inevitable requirement, effective models and methods from the grassroots have been contributing to realizing the goals of Resolution 06. Thereby, not only protecting the ecological landscape, improving the quality of life of the people, but also affirming the pioneering role of Quang Ninh women in building a green - clean - beautiful new countryside, sustainable development.
