Quang Ninh Border Guard proactively responds to storm Ragasa

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 9 (Ragasa), the Border Guard force of Quang Ninh province has been urgently and synchronously deploying prevention and control measures, ready to respond effectively to all situations to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, storm No. 9 is a very strong storm with complex developments and a wide range of influence, and is likely to make landfall directly in Quang Ninh province.

As soon as information about the storm was received, closely following the direction of superiors at all levels, the Provincial Border Guard Command proactively developed a storm prevention plan, and mobilized 30 ships and boats along with over 120 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities to call on ships to take shelter in safe places, organize anchoring arrangements and evacuate people in dangerous areas.

By the afternoon of September 23, all 7,464 vehicles with 14,928 crew members, fishermen and 1,465 workers on 2,530 cages and rafts regularly operating in the Border Guard area had received information about the storm and were basically guided and arranged to anchor and take shelter from the storm safely.

Border Guard forces support fishermen in tying and reinforcing aquaculture rafts.

Units such as Co To and Ngoc Vung Border Guard Stations are ready to deploy storm warning flares according to regulations. Border units maintain their personnel and vehicles on duty 24/7, ready to mobilize to carry out search and rescue missions and ensure people's safety when situations arise in the area.

With the motto "3 before", "4 on the spot", Quang Ninh Border Guard is continuing to closely monitor the storm's developments, at the same time, closely coordinating with local forces and authorities to do a good job of preventing and fighting Ragasa storm, maintaining the area, and ensuring maximum safety for people in the border, sea and island areas of the province.
