With the theme “Humanitarian Journey - Spreading Love”, Humanitarian Month 2025 is being implemented by the Provincial Red Cross Society (CRS) at all levels with many diverse and practical activities. From there, mobilizing and calling for the cooperation and companionship of many organizations and individuals, contributing to spreading good values ​​in the community.

Present early at the Provincial Youth Culture and Sports Center to participate in the launching ceremony of the 2025 Humanitarian Month organized by the Provincial Red Cross Society, Ms. Bui Thi Hoa, Cua Nam Ward (Nam Dinh City) shared: “Unfortunately, my husband had a traffic accident and died early. Without a stable job, I alone do many manual labor jobs to earn a living and raise 2 young children. Sympathizing and sharing with the family's situation, in the past time, the Party Committee, the government as well as local organizations regularly visited and encouraged. During the 2025 Humanitarian Month, the Red Cross Society at all levels also reviewed and gave gifts to my mother and me. This is a noble gesture, a great encouragement for my family, helping me have more motivation to strive to stabilize my life."

Participating in the eye examination program for the elderly in difficult circumstances organized by the Provincial Red Cross Association in coordination with other units, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Nam Dien commune (Nam Truc) could not hide his joy and said: “I am old, living alone, and have difficulty traveling, so I rarely have the opportunity to visit medical facilities at higher levels. In particular, in recent years, my eyes have suffered from impaired vision, glare, blurred vision, difficulty seeing at night... and need to have cataract surgery. However, due to economic circumstances, I have not been able to get my eyes treated. With the support of the Red Cross Association at all levels, last April, I was examined by doctors and had cataract surgery. Since the eye surgery, I have seen more clearly and my daily activities have improved a lot. I would like to thank the meaningful “gift” that the Red Cross Association at all levels has given me.” Ms. Hoa and Mr. Quang are just two of many cases of people in difficult and disadvantaged circumstances who have been effectively assisted by the Red Cross Society at all levels during Humanitarian Month 2025.

Comrade Pham Minh Phuong, Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society, said: “With the aim of widely propagating humanitarian values ​​among all classes of people, the movement "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community", this year's Humanitarian Month takes place from March 1 to May 31, 2025, with the peak from May 8 to May 19. Implementing the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Red Cross Society has developed a plan to deploy the Humanitarian Month to districts and cities; consulted and proposed to local Party committees and authorities to direct and mobilize resources to carry out humanitarian activities during the month, focusing on the main activities: launching a peak period to mobilize resources to support humanitarian addresses, build Red Cross houses, build humanitarian works, support livelihoods; strengthen humanitarian assistance activities in the community, promote the campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address"; organize widely promote humanitarian values ​​and activities of the Humanitarian Month; develop members and volunteers; honor and commend exemplary and typical examples in humanitarian activities... The whole province strives to assist at least 2,000 humanitarian addresses with appropriate forms of assistance and levels of assistance; mobilize at least 1,500 people to participate in the program "Millions of humanitarian footsteps - Continuing the golden history" organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society in coordination with FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company. Each district and city strives to build 2 Red Cross houses for 2 poor households, families in difficult circumstances..., worth at least 50 million VND/house; visit and give gifts to 100 families of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy beneficiaries; organize incense offering and visits at 10 martyrs' cemeteries, historical revolutionary relic sites; organize at least 1 program to examine, provide medicine, and give gifts to at least 200 people poor, victims of Agent Orange, people with revolutionary contributions; organize at least 1 project, program, humanitarian work with direct support from local Party committees and authorities...

Actively implementing the Humanitarian Month, up to now, the district and city Red Cross Associations have mobilized resources, drawn from the Humanitarian Relief Fund over 3.3 billion VND, supporting 4,951 poor people, people in difficult circumstances, vulnerable groups... In particular, at the launching ceremony of the Humanitarian Month, the Provincial Red Cross Association drew from the Humanitarian Relief Fund 50 million VND to give gifts to 100 disadvantaged households in Nam Dinh city. At the same time, 30 million VND was allocated to support humanitarian activities in Quang Tri and Vinh Phuc provinces. The Provincial Red Cross Association also sent a Letter calling for support for the Humanitarian Relief Fund to units, organizations and individuals in the province. As a result, from April 20 to May 20, 43 units, organizations and individuals participated in directly supporting and through accounts over 217 million VND. District and city associations have allocated funds and mobilized support for 4,831 people, worth more than 3.2 billion VND, including support for building 5 new CTĐ houses, worth 500 million VND in total; donating 147 bicycles, 7 wheelchairs, worth 282 million VND; performing cataract surgery for 40 elderly people in difficult circumstances, worth 480 million VND in total...

In addition to visiting and gift-giving activities, during the 2025 Humanitarian Month, the Associations at all levels also organized health check-up programs, free medicine distribution, and voluntary blood donation to address the shortage of blood in hospitals. Since the beginning of March, the districts, cities and affiliated units have organized dozens of humanitarian blood donations. Typically, the Xuan Truong District Red Cross Association mobilized hundreds of people to participate in the "Xuan Truong Red Drops 2025" Festival, collecting 989 units of blood; 130 members, volunteers, and people of Nam Dinh city participated in the voluntary blood donation program in May, collecting 110 units of safe blood. Workers and employees of Bao Minh Industrial Park also actively participated in the blood donation festival, collecting 405 units of blood. In addition, some other units such as Ha Nam Ninh Petroleum Company, Provincial Red Cross Volunteer Team, Nam Dinh Nursing University... also organized voluntary blood donation programs, attracting a large number of workers, students, and people to participate.

Through the series of activities of the Humanitarian Month 2025, thousands of poor people, people with disabilities, victims of Agent Orange, disadvantaged and unfortunate people in the province have been effectively supported to stabilize their lives. Thereby, affirming the role of "red addresses" in humanitarian and charitable activities of the Red Cross Society, spreading humane values ​​in the community.
