The online shopping season of Online Friday 2025 is in full swing.
From e-commerce platforms and corporate fanpages to TikTok Shops, deep discounts, attractive gift vouchers, and digital payment incentives are constantly being offered, drawing consumers into a modern, convenient, and transparent shopping environment.
In this atmosphere, businesses are proactively transforming themselves, and people are quickly adapting, creating a thriving digital economy in Thai Nguyen, which is gradually asserting its position as a bright spot for e-commerce in the northern mountainous region.
Positive interaction between businesses and consumers during the online shopping season helps stimulate consumer demand and strengthen confidence in digital shopping channels, creating a foundation for modern and transparent consumer habits.
As part of a nationwide initiative, the "National E-commerce Week and Thai Nguyen Online Friday 2025" is becoming even more vibrant, with hundreds of businesses, cooperatives, and individual entrepreneurs extending their promotions until the end of December. On digital platforms such as websites, fan pages, and TikTok Shops, many businesses are launching attractive promotions. Enterprises and cooperatives like MediaMart, Canifa, Minh Cau Supermarket, GO! Thai Nguyen Supermarket, Dien May Xanh,FPT Shop, The Gioi Di Dong, Huong Van Tra Cooperative, and Ban Viet are intensifying discounts and offering cashless payment incentives. During the week, many clothing and electronics stores recorded a significant increase in customers, with online orders accounting for up to 50%.
The highlight of this year's shopping season is the "Livestream of Thai Nguyen's Quintessence - Elevating Vietnamese Values" program, held on November 15th. The event attracted a large audience as businesses such as SoppeLive (owned by Ban Viet), Thai Minh Anh, and Phu Gia offered 25% discount vouchers, making it easier for consumers to own Thai Nguyen specialties. The program contributed to boosting sales while strongly promoting the image of local products and affirming the position of Vietnamese goods in the digital age.
Consumers are also enthusiastically joining in the digital shopping season. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, from Phan Dinh Phung ward, shared: "Every Online Friday, I hunt for discounts because many genuine products are reduced by up to 60%. Paying via e-wallet is very secure, so I feel completely safe when shopping online."

The excitement of the event spread from the city center to the northern localities of the province. In Duc Xuan ward and surrounding areas, many businesses invested systematically in digital sales for the first time: livestreaming on Facebook, Zalo, and TikTok; listing products on e-commerce platforms; and implementing QR code payments. Thanks to the program lasting until the end of the month, revenue increased significantly, especially for fashion items, processed foods, and early Tet gifts, demonstrating the strong growth of online business in the year-end season.
Responding to the Thai Nguyen Livestream - Online Shopping Festival 2025, Ms. Ha Minh Doi, Director of Ha Diep Co., Ltd., said: The company is offering many great deals, with discounts up to 50% on 4-star OCOP products such as golden flower tea, golden flower tea in filter bags, and bud tea; dried bamboo shoots, honey, and sticky rice specialties are discounted by 10%. Thanks to this campaign, revenue increased by about 30%, with golden flower tea being the best-selling product.

At WinMart Bac Kan, Mr. Nguyen Van Viet, the supermarket director, said: "The unit actively participates in the program with online and in-store promotional packages, combined with sales through fanpages and digital applications. The number of online orders has increased sharply, especially for fast-moving consumer goods and fresh food. WinMart's participation contributes to spreading the modern retail model to the mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam."
The participation of localities in the northern part of the province not only supplements the abundant supply for consumers but also demonstrates that e-commerce is becoming a popular business method even in mountainous and remote areas. This is a positive sign, contributing to promoting digital transformation and expanding the market for agricultural products in the highlands.
These results further strengthen consumer confidence in the quality and value of Vietnamese goods and affirm the role of e-commerce in the sustainable development of the digital economy.
