In recent times, through the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and its member organizations, they have proactively coordinated to widely disseminate to cadres, union members, members and people about the policies, resolutions of the Party and the State related to agriculture, farmers, rural areas and the target program in building new rural areas, to support people in economic development. Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of sustainable poverty reduction in the locality in conjunction with the criteria for building "Cultural families", "Cultural villages and neighborhoods", "Civilized urban areas". The whole province has launched and implemented many models, which have received the approval and active participation of the people, in conjunction with emulation movements to develop production and business, transform the structure of crops and livestock, and help each other with capital, seeds, crops, livestock, production experience, and unite to help each other in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction. Typical examples include: The movement "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably" of the Farmers' Association, the movement "Good workers, creative workers" of the Labor Federation, the movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families" of the Women's Union, the movement "Creative start-up" of the Youth Union, the movement "Exemplary veterans - economic development"...
In particular, in the past 5 years, the "For the Poor" Fund at 3 levels in the province has mobilized more than 78.7 billion VND/38 billion VND according to the annual mobilization plan, reaching over 207%. The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has well implemented social security work, coordinated with member organizations to mobilize philanthropists and benefactors inside and outside the province to support over 2.5 billion VND to support and care for poor people and policy families in the province. In addition, from the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels in the province, it has coordinated with benefactors to support the construction and repair of 475 houses, and repair of 52 houses for the poor with a total value of over 27 billion VND. Coordinated to mobilize businesses and benefactors to donate 418,510 gifts with a total value of over 157 billion VND to support poor households, policy families, and disadvantaged people in the province. Member organizations jointly presented nearly 282,000 gifts, worth over 113 billion VND, supporting the livelihoods of 282 poor people, with a total value of 2,356 million VND, helping the poor have conditions for economic development, stable income, and rise up in life...
A bright spot in the work of poverty reduction and legitimate enrichment of Binh Thuan in the past 5 years is the strong development of solidarity models, helping each other to develop the economy in the community. Accordingly, throughout the countryside of Binh Thuan, there are currently many typical examples of solidarity and helping each other to become legitimately rich. These are the hard-working, creative farmers who are always ready to share their experiences and help those around them. Or those are the dedicated businessmen, always concerned with the development of their homeland, ready to invest and support farmers with techniques, capital or willing to consume products made by farmers. In particular, agricultural cooperatives have played an important role in linking production and product consumption for farmers, helping them stabilize output and increase income. Many production linkage groups have been established, helping farmers share experiences, support each other with capital, techniques and product consumption. Many businesses in the province have actively participated in poverty reduction, through creating jobs for the poor, supporting capital, technology and product consumption for production households... It can be said that these models have partly demonstrated the diversity in ways of supporting and developing the economy, reflecting the initiative and creativity of Binh Thuan people in building a community that progresses and develops together...
From 2021 to present, the whole province has coordinated to organize vocational training for 1,712 people from poor and near-poor households; organized 42 training courses on science and technology transfer; deployed 19 models of applying scientific and technological advances; had 511 economic cooperation models developed and operated effectively. The Bank for Social Policies has provided 71,706 poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households with loans of VND 3,048,082 million to invest in production and business development. Supported 173,068 health insurance cards for people from poor and near-poor households; supported scholarships for poor but studious students with a total value of more than VND 137 billion.
