Love for Uncle Ho expressed through melodies.

Composer Vu Huong, a member of the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, is one of those who chose themes about President Ho Chi Minh, his homeland, and the country as the main emotional thread in his songwriting career. He believes that each song should not only be innovative in its musical language but also relatable and easily touch people's hearts.

Some of his representative works include: Fulfilling the President's Long-Lasting Wish, The Warm Love of Uncle Ho by the Sacred Fire, Sing Out, Vietnam, The Fatherland Forever Shines Brightly in the East Sea, Returning to Truong Son… Among them, the most memorable for him is the song Fulfilling the President's Long-Lasting Wish (1993).

The song is inspired by President Ho Chi Minh's words during his visit to the Baku oil and gas industrial complex (Soviet Union) on July 23, 1959: "I hope and believe that, when Vietnam wins its resistance war, you comrades will help us find oil, then exploit and process it, and build an oil and gas industrial complex like Baku." Later, the establishment and development of the Vietsovpetro joint venture realized President Ho Chi Minh's advice. From that emotion, composer Vu Huong wrote the song with a profound and heartfelt melody:

"With the wish of the Nation to be peaceful and prosperous that year, He has passed away. His words still warm, I engrave them in my heart, so that the East Sea today may shine with a sacred flame..."

The song has been well-received and performed by many singers both within and outside the oil and gas industry, winning numerous Gold Medals at various amateur art festivals.

The next generation of young musicians

Recently, musician Duy Long, from the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, also completed the song " Ho Chi Minh - His Name Shines Forever." This work continues the inspiration from his previous songs such as "A Song Dedicated to Him" and "Uncle Ho's Words Guiding the Nation."

Composer Duy Long shared: "Just learning one small thing from Uncle Ho is enough to equip every Vietnamese citizen with the necessary knowledge. I write about Uncle Ho to contribute another flower to the garden of music filled with love and respect for him."

Similarly, musician Ho Vinh Tri, who works at the Provincial Center for Culture, Arts and Sports, also has many touching compositions about Uncle Ho such as "I Vow to Follow His Words," "Warm Sunshine in My Heart," and "His Words Remain in My Heart." These works have been staged and performed in art programs and festivals, serving a wide audience.

According to musician Hoang Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, he had pondered and nurtured feelings about the image and life of President Ho Chi Minh, which led to the creation of the song "Bright Star," a choral work rich in emotion, both heroic and deeply lyrical.
