Uncle Ho's love through melody

Musician Vu Huong, member of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, is one of those who choose the theme of Uncle Ho, homeland, and country as the main emotional thread in his composing career. He believes that each song not only needs to be new in musical language but also close and easy to touch people's hearts.

Some of his typical works include: Satisfying the old wishes of the People, Warm Uncle Ho's love by the sacred fire, Singing Vietnam, The Fatherland forever brightens the East Sea, Returning to Truong Son... Among them, the most memorable song for him is Satisfying the old wishes of the People (1993).

The song was inspired by Uncle Ho's words when he visited the Baku oil and gas industrial zone (Soviet Union) on July 23, 1959: "I hope and believe that when Vietnam's resistance is victorious, you comrades will help us find oil, then exploit and process oil, and build an oil and gas industrial zone like Baku". Later, the birth and development of the Vietsovpetro Joint Venture realized Uncle Ho's advice. From that emotion, musician Vu Huong wrote the song with a deep, passionate melody:

“With his wish that year, the country was at peace, he has passed away, his words are still warm, I engrave them in my heart, so that today the East Sea will be lit up with a sacred fire…”

The song was received and performed by many singers inside and outside the oil and gas industry and won many Gold Medals at mass art performances.

The next generation of young musicians

Recently, musician Duy Long, the provincial Literature and Arts Association, has just completed the song Ho Chi Minh - His Name Shines Forever. This work continues the inspiration from his previous songs such as Khuc hat dedicating to Him and Loi Bac minh duong dat nuoc.

Musician Duy Long shared: “Just learning a small thing from Uncle Ho is enough to equip every Vietnamese person. I write about Uncle Ho to add another flower to the garden of music full of love and respect for him.”

Similarly, musician Ho Vinh Tri, working at the provincial Center for Culture, Arts and Sports, also has many touching compositions about Uncle Ho such as Nguyen theo nguoi's words, Nang am trong tim, Nguoi loi mau trong tim. These works have been staged and performed in art programs and festivals to serve the public.

Musician Hoang Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, said that he had been pondering and nurturing emotions about the image and life of President Ho Chi Minh and created the song Bright Star, a choral work rich in emotion, both heroic and lyrical.
