Attending the funeral were: President Vo Van Thuong, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man , along with Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, members of the National Assembly Standing Committee and National Assembly deputies.
The delegation's wreath bears the inscription: "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh ".
Amid the solemn military music, the Party and State leaders and National Assembly delegates respectfully bowed, expressing their infinite gratitude and sincere respect for President Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and building a peaceful , independent, and unified socialist Vietnam.
After the funeral, the National Assembly Deputies returned to the National Assembly House to attend the Opening Ceremony of the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly, which took place at 9:00 a.m. the same day at the Dien Hong Meeting Room, National Assembly House, Hanoi.
The 5th session of the 15th National Assembly held a preparatory session and solemnly opened on May 22, 2023, and is expected to close on June 23, 2023 in the form of a concentrated meeting at the National Assembly House, Hanoi. The session will be held in 2 phases: Phase 1: from May 22 to June 10, 2023; Phase 2: from June 19 to June 23, 2023. The total working time of the session is expected to be 22 days.
At this session, the National Assembly will consider and pass 08 draft laws, 03 draft resolutions, and consider and comment on 09 draft laws. In addition, the National Assembly will consider reports on additional assessments of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in 2022; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in the first months of 2023; approve the 2021 state budget settlement; consider the report on thrift practice and waste prevention in 2022.
