Over the past 5 years, the Party Cell of Thot Not High School has carried out all aspects of Party building work well, and its leadership capacity has been constantly improved. The Party Cell has effectively directed the improvement of teaching and learning quality, so the school's spearhead quality is ranked among the top high schools in the city.

The Party Cell of Thot Not High School regularly directs many solutions to improve the quality of teaching and learning. In particular, implementing innovation in teaching methods, testing and assessment methods according to the overall program of the 2018 GeneralEducation Program; directing professional groups to innovate management work, organize teaching and learning according to knowledge and skill standards and orientation for developing students' capacity; organize training for excellent students, training and tutoring for weak students, especially students with knowledge gaps. The Party Cell and the Board of Directors always encourage and create conditions for staff (CB) and teachers (GV) to study and improve their qualifications in all aspects. In the past 5 years, 12 teachers have been trained for master's degrees, bringing the total number of staff and teachers with master's degrees in the school to 41. Teacher Doan Thanh Phuc shared: "I am about to graduate from the master's course in theory and teaching methods of mathematics. The course has helped me supplement a lot of professional knowledge, especially improving the teaching methods of mathematics, meeting the requirements of improving the quality of teaching and learning of the school".
In addition, the Party Cell directed investment in facilities to meet the requirements of teaching and learning and the school's movement activities. In the past 5 years, the school has built more online classrooms, presentation rooms, computer rooms, and added more teaching equipment to the classrooms. The school also mobilized resources from the budget and socialization to upgrade the school yard, fences, corridors, expand the playground area, practice ground for teachers and students, build a stage to serve the cultural and artistic movement, commend and reward, and build a lotus pond for students to experience and visit...
Comrade Tang Van Chin, Party Cell Secretary and Principal, said: Thanks to the implementation of many synchronous and effective solutions, the quality of teaching and learning at the school has been constantly improved. Over the past 5 years, the school has had the highest number of excellent students among high schools in the city. Typically, in the 2020-2021 school year, the school had 56 excellent students at the city level, including 2 students winning prizes in the national HKIMO math competition; in the 2021-2022 school year, the school had 54 excellent students at the city level, including 3 students winning prizes in the national English Olympic, 2 students winning third prizes in the city-level science and technology competition and 1 student with the highest graduation score in Can Tho city; in the 2022-2023 school year, the school had 85 excellent students at the city level, including 6 first prizes, 11 second prizes, 17 third prizes, and 51 consolation prizes. Every year, over 99% of students move up to the next grade and graduate from high school; the percentage of students passing the university entrance exam is 60-65%; 95% or more of students have good conduct; 65% or more of excellent and fair students.
Along with professional work, the Party Cell focuses on Party building work. Every year, the Party Cell builds leadership resolutions that are close to the practical tasks of the school. Political and ideological work is strengthened; all cadres, party members, and teachers participate in studying and thoroughly understanding the resolutions, directives, and regulations of the Party. Every year, all cadres, teachers, and employees sign a commitment to cultivate and practice ethics and lifestyle and register to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and lifestyle through specific, practical actions associated with performing professional tasks.
The work of developing Party members has been focused on. From 2018 to now, the Party Cell has admitted 11 Party members, bringing the total number of Party members of the Cell to 36 comrades. Teacher Tran Thi Ai Nhi, Head of the Civic Education Group, shared: "I was admitted to the Party at the end of 2021. After 16 years of working at the school, I have always strived to teach well, actively participated in emulation movements, and for many consecutive years achieved the title of excellent teacher at the school and city levels. Becoming a Party member, I must try harder in all aspects of work, contributing to building a clean and strong Party Cell, improving the quality of teaching and learning at the school".
Comrade Tang Van Chin, Party Cell Secretary and Principal, said: Thanks to the good implementation of solutions in professional work and Party building, over the past 5 years, the school has been awarded the Flag of the leading unit in the city-level high school sector by the City People's Committee; the Chairman of the City People's Committee awarded 2 Certificates of Merit for outstanding achievements in teaching and learning and recognized as reaching national standards level I. The school's Party Cell is annually assessed by the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee as "Excellently completing tasks", and is being proposed by the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and the Organizing Committee of the City Party Committee to award the Party Cell a Certificate of Merit for "Excellently completing tasks" for 5 consecutive years (2018-2022).
