Improve the effectiveness of the Youth Union and youth movements

The Thuận Hưng ward delegation coordinated the distribution of gifts to disadvantaged residents and children in the ward.

From the beginning of 2025 until now, the Thuan Hung Ward Youth Union has organized many activities in the "Youth Volunteer" movement, such as: mobilizing gifts for policy beneficiary families, people, and Youth Union members in difficult circumstances; environmental sanitation, planting trees and flowers along the roads; participating in the construction and upgrading of roads, implementing the "National Flag Road" model, "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful Road"...

In addition, the Ward Youth Union coordinated the organization of free medical examinations and medication distribution, awarded scholarships to students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies; and organized experiential activities for students in the Army unit. Ms. Dong Thi Van Em, Secretary of the Ward Youth Union, said: “Besides the above activities, the Ward Youth Union also focuses on organizing activities to visit historical and cultural sites… Through these activities, we contribute to educating young people and students about revolutionary traditions and love for their homeland.”

Over the past five years, the Thuan Hung Ward Youth Union and its affiliated units have mobilized resources to implement 15 youth projects, totaling over 1 billion VND, including: painting murals, building traffic bridges, installing streetlights; implementing models such as "Fairy Tale Gardens," "Clean Vegetable Gardens for Children," and "Youth Flowerbeds"... Youth Union members in the ward have volunteered to participate in general environmental sanitation, clearing roads, removing illegal advertisements; organizing communication activities on environmental protection, mobilizing people to participate in building a civilized urban area; and caring for policy beneficiary families and people in difficult circumstances…

The ward's Youth Union and its branches effectively maintain successful community mobilization models. In 2022, the ward's Youth Union collaborated with Hoa Hung Nam Pagoda to implement the "Supporting Students to School" program. To date, the program has awarded numerous scholarships to disadvantaged primary, secondary, and high school students, totaling 50 million VND. The ward's Youth Union also collaborated with Hoa Hung Nam Pagoda to organize summer activities, children's club activities in residential areas, and activities in response to Youth Month; visiting and giving gifts to disadvantaged people and children… with a total expenditure of nearly 3 billion VND.

According to Ms. Dong Thi Van Em, the Ward Youth Union has successfully implemented the "Accompanying Youth in Starting and Establishing Businesses" program. To date, the Ward Youth Union has established loan and savings groups to help young people start businesses; organized communication activities to raise awareness among young people about vocational training; provided advice and support to young people on starting businesses and establishing careers; coordinated the organization of training courses and technology transfer; provided career counseling to 614 young people and introduced jobs to 345 young people...

In the coming period, the Thuan Hung Ward Youth Union will continue to organize volunteer activities with a focus on improving quality, ensuring widespread reach, clear direction, creativity, practicality, and effectiveness; organizing on-site volunteer activities, suitable for each target group and field of work of young cadres, civil servants, and public employees, closely adhering to the political tasks of the sector and locality.

In addition, the unit promotes volunteer activities for community life and social welfare. This includes expanding the scope and improving the quality of programs such as "Supporting Students During Exams," "Supporting Students to School," "Voluntary Blood Donation," "Volunteer Saturday," "Green Sunday," and "Gratitude and Remembrance." The ward's Youth Union strengthens the organization of widespread emulation movements in learning and scientific research; encourages young people to actively improve their education, professional skills, and expertise. At the same time, it promotes activities to support young people in developing economic development models and startups through the application of modern technology; developing smart agriculture models and agricultural services linked to ecotourism.
