Leaders of Bac Ninh province visit former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Khamtay Siphandone

On the morning of April 5, a delegation of leaders of Bac Ninh province led by comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, paid tribute to former Chairman of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President of Laos Khamtay Siphandone at the Embassy of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Hanoi. Also attending the ceremony was comrade Le Xuan Loi, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The wreath of the delegation of Bac Ninh province bears the inscription "Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province, Socialist Republic of Vietnam respectfully pay their respects!"

Comrade Khamtay Siphandone, born on February 8, 1924, former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President, former Prime Minister, former Deputy Prime Minister, and former Minister of National Defense of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on April 2, at the age of 102.

Provincial leaders observed a minute of silence before the spirit of comrade Khamtay Siphandone.

He is an extremely close and intimate friend of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, always paying attention and making great contributions to building, consolidating and developing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos over the past time.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan writes in the condolence book in memory of comrade Khamtay Siphandone

After the funeral, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Bac Ninh province, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan wrote in the condolence book for comrade Khamtay Siphandone with the following content: "The Party Committee, government and people of Bac Ninh province deeply mourn the passing of General Secretary, Party Chairman, President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, General Khamtay Siphandone.

Provincial leaders expressed condolences to representatives of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam.

This is a great loss for the Party, the State and the people of the Lao ethnic groups. We express our solidarity with the brotherly province of Hua Phan and believe that you will turn your grief into revolutionary action, continue to move forward, develop Hua Phan province, and contribute to the development of the brotherly country of Laos. The special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos will forever be green and everlasting.
