The provincial leaders assigned the Department of Health to preside over and closely coordinate with the provincial police, the Department of Industry and Trade, and the People's Committees of districts and cities to strengthen control and prevention of counterfeit drugs and fake health protection foods to promptly prevent and minimize harm. Urgently review and inspect business establishments, promptly detect and recall counterfeit goods and strictly handle violations of the law on pharmaceuticals and food safety.
In addition, strengthen inspection and examination of compliance with legal regulations on pharmaceuticals and food safety of pharmaceutical and health food businesses in the province. Strengthen measures to manage wholesale and retail drug establishments in conjunction with the requirement to connect drug suppliers. Only drugs that have been granted a circulation registration certificate, with invoices, documents, and origin in accordance with regulations are allowed to be bought and sold.
The Department of Health is responsible for reviewing regulations on ensuring food safety for functional food products including: food supplements, health protection foods, medical nutritional foods (receiving registration of product declarations, product self-declarations); coordinating with relevant units to strengthen inspection and post-inspection of establishments producing and trading functional foods, especially food supplements in the area, promptly preventing, handling violations, and recalling poor quality products and fake foods circulating on the market.
The provincial leaders assigned the standing agency of the Provincial Steering Committee 389/DP to direct the provincial interdisciplinary inspection team 389/DP to inspect and control the production, circulation, and trading of drugs and health protection foods of unknown origin.
The provincial police force is assigned to direct specialized departments and commune-level police to strengthen situation monitoring, detect, prevent and promptly handle acts of manufacturing and trading fake drugs and fake health protection foods; strictly handle cases of violation of the law.
The Department of Industry and Trade is responsible for proactively coordinating with relevant agencies and units to strengthen market management measures, promptly detect, prevent and handle the production and trade of counterfeit drugs and fake health protection foods.
The provincial leaders also assigned Dong Nai Newspaper and Dong Nai Radio and Television to step up information and propaganda about the risks and harms of using fake drugs, fake health protection foods, and products of unknown origin and origin, and how to identify and avoid buying and using fake drugs, fake health protection foods, fake milk, distinguishing signs of violations in advertising, buying and selling of prescription drugs, and using drugs safely and effectively.
