More than 1,100 students admitted to public grade 10

On the evening of July 23, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the list of 1,132 students admitted to additional grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year at Phuc Loi and Minh Quang high schools; the list of students admitted to grade 10 at two newly established high schools, Phuc Thinh and Do Muoi.

Of which, Phuc Loi High School recruited 112 additional students; Minh Quang High School recruited 32 additional students; Phuc Thinh High School recruited 504 students with a standard score of 14.75 points; Do Muoi High School recruited 484 students with a standard score of 16.5 points.

Hanoi Department of Education and Training notes that admitted students must submit their application for admission to the school from 8:00 a.m. on July 28 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30 (during office hours).

Students should pay attention to the correct location to submit their admission application according to regulations. Specifically, students admitted to Phuc Loi and Minh Quang High Schools should submit their application at the school.

Because Phuc Thinh and Do Muoi High Schools are in the process of completion, applications will be submitted at locations at neighboring schools. Specifically, students admitted to Phuc Thinh High School will submit their applications at Dong Anh High School; students admitted to Do Muoi High School will submit their applications at Van Dien Town Middle School, Yen So Ward.

Previously, on July 18, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training recently issued enrollment decisions for two newly established high schools, Do Muoi High School (Yen So Ward) and Phuc Thinh High School (Phuc Thinh Commune). Each school is allowed to enroll 450 students, regardless of enrollment area.

The admission requirements for these two schools are that candidates must not have passed any public admissions and have a score of 12 or higher in three subjects: math, literature, and foreign language.

Admission is "overflow", not required by admission area as students have registered their admission wishes like public high schools before.

Also according to the regulations of the Department of Education and Training, students register on the city's primary school admission portal from 8:00 a.m. on July 19 to 12:00 p.m. on July 22. During this time, students can change their wishes if they want.

Admission to Do Muoi and Phuc Thinh High Schools will be based on the exam scores that students register for, from high to low until the quota is met.

Before 10am on July 24, the list of successful candidates will be announced at the school and the department's information portal. Successful candidates will enroll from July 28 to 30.

The decision was issued in the context that the admission to grade 10 seemed to be settled, Hanoi announced the exam scores and admission scores for grade 10 this year. Students who failed the public school entrance exam all have their own choices.

Therefore, many parents regret that their children do not have the opportunity to study at one of the two newly established schools with spacious, modern facilities, located in a densely populated area, especially for parents whose children have been admitted to their second or third choice at a suburban school, far from home.
