Nghe An Provincial Leaders Congratulate Vinh Diocese on Easter

At the Vinh Diocese Bishop's Palace, Dien Hoa Commune, Nghi Loc District, on behalf of the provincial delegation, Comrade Bui Thanh An - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a congratulatory flower basket and sent to Bishop Alphong Nguyen Huu Long and other bishops, priests and all parishioners in Vinh Diocese wishes for peace, health and happiness on the occasion of Easter.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also informed Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long and other bishops and priests about the preliminary socio-economic situation of the province. With the efforts of the Party Committee and people in the province, the growth rate of the total product in the province increased by 8.0% (ranked 2nd in the North Central region, higher than the same period in 2024).

Total state budget revenue in the first 4 months is estimated at 7,843 billion VND, an increase of 7% over the same period in 2024. Investment attraction to date has reached over 6,814 billion VND; the province has completed procedures and awarded investment policy decisions for the VSIP Nghe An 3 Industrial Park project. Many key projects in the area have been focused on by the province to direct and urge to accelerate implementation progress...

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that these results were achieved thanks to the great efforts of the Party Committee, the government and the entire people, including the very important contributions of Bishop Alphonsus, Auxiliary Bishop Peter and priests and religious in the whole province.

On behalf of the Provincial Leaders, Comrade Bui Thanh An respectfully thanked, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the community, believers, Catholics in particular, and religious people in general, in joining hands to build Nghe An homeland to be more democratic, civilized and prosperous. At the same time, he expressed his hope that the Vinh Diocese Bishopric would continue to coordinate, share and accompany the authorities at all levels in the process of socio-economic development.

On behalf of the Vinh Diocese, Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the attention of the leaders of Nghe An province on the occasion of Easter 2025. At the same time, he acknowledged the efforts of the leaders and people of Nghe An in the process of economic recovery, as well as the results achieved in socio-economic development in recent times.

Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long also thanked the leaders of Nghe An province for their attention to resolving the religious needs of the parishioners, bringing joy to the entire community of God's people, thereby affirming the good relationship between the authorities at all levels and the Bishop's Office.

On the occasion of Easter, Bishop Alphonsus Nguyen Huu Long prays for good things for his homeland and country, guiding the parishioners to live a "good life, beautiful religion".

On this occasion, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee sent condolences when Pope Francis passed away on April 21 at the Vatican.
