Dam Ha: Improving the quality of life for people

With the spirit of "unanimity and decisive action" of the entire political system and the active participation of the community, the integration of the National Target Program on Poverty Reduction with the New Rural Development Program and the Socio-Economic Development Program for Ethnic Minorities has been vigorously implemented by the district, mobilizing all socialized resources to support households and individuals in particularly difficult circumstances. The Sustainable Poverty Reduction Target Program associated with socialization has mobilized many organizations and individuals to participate, ensuring that "no one is left behind". In the first 3 months of 2025, the district had 29 households living in dilapidated, leaky houses that were supported to build new or repair.

Identifyingeducation as the foundation for capacity building and contributing to sustainable poverty reduction, the district has directed the effective implementation of the Project on developing education in ethnic minority areas in Dam Ha district by 2025, with a vision to 2030, maintaining 26/26 schools meeting national standards and continuously investing in additional facilities for educational institutions. In addition, the work of improving the quality of key subjects is focused on with the goal of increasing the rate of excellent students at district and provincial levels, striving to have national awards, thereby contributing to creating a breakthrough in the quality of education in mountainous areas.

Along with that, the district always focuses on people's health care. In the first quarter of 2025, the district strictly implemented the work of monitoring and supervising epidemics, ensuring enough vaccines, medicines, medical equipment and biological products to proactively respond to all situations. In particular, medical examination and treatment were focused on by attracting high-quality human resources in the medical sector, promoting health education and communication, population and family planning, maintaining a reasonable replacement birth rate... towards the goal of improving people's life expectancy, stature and quality of life. In the first quarter of 2025, the whole district examined and treated 9,070 people, with 1,636 inpatients.

To take care of the cultural and spiritual life of the people, Dam Ha also organizes cultural, artistic, sports activities, traditional festivals... to improve the spiritual life of the people. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025, the programs "Spring Flower Market", "Highland Market", Dam Ha communal house festival, Trang Y communal house festival... were organized on a large scale, thoughtfully, attracting a large number of people and tourists, creating a warm and united atmosphere. In the first quarter of 2025, the number of tourists to the district reached about 18,500, contributing to increasing the income of service and trade businesses in the area.

The district has also accelerated the progress of infrastructure projects: rural roads, clean water, electricity systems, and renovation of community activity sites. The operation of clean water supply systems in Quang An and Quang Lam, along with upgrading markets and night food streets, has created a civilized and modern living space and contributed to improving the quality of life of the people. Mr. Ly Say Dung, Lang Ngang village, Quang An commune (Dam Ha) said: For many years, the ethnic minority areas of the district have invested in many clean water projects. The upgraded traffic in villages and hamlets helps people travel, exchange, and buy and sell goods easily. People's lives are increasingly improving, so people are very excited.

Currently, Dam Ha continues to maintain a breakthrough pace, perfecting policy mechanisms, maximizing social resources, aiming to gradually improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
