This is the 5th time the contest "Uncle Ho with Children - Children with Uncle Ho" has been widely held across the country, aiming to create opportunities for Vietnamese children to learn about the life, career, and revolutionary activities of beloved President Ho Chi Minh . The contest will be held from January to April 2025 with 2 forms: writing contest and drawing contest (contestants can participate in 1 or both forms). Contestants are all Vietnamese team members and children (from 6 to 15 years old) studying and living in and outside the country, foreign children living in Vietnam; primary and secondary school teams, and children's houses across the country.
The contest attracted 1,111 schools and children's houses from 61 provinces and cities across the country to participate with nearly 220,000 entries (including writings and drawings) selected and sent to the Organizing Committee. At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 42 collective prizes (including 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes, 30 consolation prizes) and 59 individual prizes (including 2 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 12 third prizes, 40 consolation prizes). In particular, Ha Nam province had Duy Minh Primary School (Duy Tien) winning the Encouragement Prize in the drawing contest; Vu Ha My, class 2B, Le Hong Phong Primary School (Phu Ly) won the Second Prize and Tran Phuong Thao, class 4C, Minh Khai Primary School (Phu Ly) won the Encouragement Prize in the writing contest.
The works participating in the contest are the fragrant flowers that children across the country respectfully offer to President Ho Chi Minh on the occasion of his 135th birthday.
