From early morning on May 17, people from all over flocked to Tam Chuc Pagoda (Kim Bang town) to wait for the Buddha's relics to be brought from Quan Su Pagoda (Hanoi) to be enshrined at Tam Chuc Pagoda. It is expected that today there will be about 60,000 tourists and people attending the ceremony to welcome and enshrine the Buddha's relics at Tam Chuc Pagoda.

It was only 7:30 a.m. but a group of 50 Buddhists from Ca village pagoda, Phu Binh district, Thai Nguyen province, dressed in formal attire, were present at the Phap Chu Temple yard to wait for the procession to bring the Buddha's relics to Tam Chuc pagoda. Nun Thich De Tri, in charge of the group, said that the Buddha's relics being brought to Vietnam was a rare event, so everyone in the group was excited and joyfully waiting for the day the Buddha's relics were brought to Tam Chuc pagoda to pay their respects.

Ms. Vu Thi Tat, 85 years old, with white hair but an extremely excited face, sat waiting outside the Tam The Temple with a group of Buddhists from Tan Tuu Pagoda, Van Boi (Tan Tuu Ward, Kim Bang). She said that the Buddha's relics were brought to Tam Chuc Pagoda and everyone in the area was very happy and waiting to come and pay homage. Although I am old, I have always been determined to come and pay homage to the Buddha's relics, because this is a rare occasion in a person's life. A woman who went with the group also shared that she knew that the Buddha's relics are only brought to each country once, this is a lucky opportunity that comes once in a thousand years so she cannot miss it. She and everyone came to pay homage to the Buddha's relics to pray for peace, health for her family, and for the country to develop more and more.

Many people came from the northern provinces. They said that although they knew that Buddha's relics were brought to some pagodas in Vietnam, they planned to go to Tam Chuc Pagoda because the space here is spacious and airy.

Tam Chuc Tourist Area has also prepared very carefully and fully to welcome people and tourists from all over to come and worship. Mr. Truong Quoc Khanh, in charge of communications at Tam Chuc Tourist Area, said that during the festival, Buddhists and tourists coming to Tam Chuc Pagoda will be completely exempted from boat and electric car tickets. In addition, the Organizing Committee also arranges about 50,000 vegetarian meals and free drinks every day. At the same time, 300 - 400 electric cars will be mobilized and more passenger cars can be added if necessary to meet the travel needs of delegates, people and tourists; mobilize about 4,000 people to participate in service work at Tam Chuc Tourist Area, including 2,000 volunteers who are students from colleges, universities and Buddhists.
