Lao Cai: Striving to have 5 more communes meeting new rural and advanced new rural standards by the end of 2025

Communes striving to meet new rural standards in 2025 include Lam Thuong, Phuc Loi, Van Chan, Cat Thinh; Viet Hong commune strives to meet advanced new rural standards.

The National Target Program on New Rural Construction is implemented in 89 communes, including 18 communes in Region III (11 communes in the former Lao Cai province, 7 communes in the former Yen Bai province).

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lao Cai province, up to now, 37/89 communes have met the new rural standards, reaching 41.5% of the total number of communes in the province; 1/37 communes have met the advanced new rural standards.

According to the plan, by the end of 2025, 4 more communes will be recognized as meeting new rural standards, 1 commune as advanced new rural standards, and a total of 41 new rural communes and 2 communes meeting advanced new rural standards.
