NDO - Lao Cai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a document to the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities, the Provincial Tourism Association and tourism service businesses in Lao Cai province requesting: In order for tourism activities during the holiday to be safe, effective, comply with legal regulations and attract tourists to Lao Cai, agencies and units coordinate to implement the following contents:

People's Committees of districts, towns and cities strengthen management and inspection of tourism activities before, during and after the April 30 and May 1 holidays in 2025.

Direct specialized departments and local units to coordinate with the provincial Interdisciplinary Inspection Team to inspect compliance with legal regulations in tourism business activities in the area.

Proactively inspect and control the quality of tourism service providers, improve professionalism in serving tourists at tourist accommodation establishments, tourist transport units, tourist areas and attractions, restaurants serving tourists, shopping centers, and entertainment facilities in the area.

Pay attention to checking compliance with regulations and ensuring safety for the business of tourism products that may affect the lives and health of tourists; checking the strict implementation of regulations on fire and explosion prevention and control, ensuring environmental sanitation, waste collection and treatment, and food safety; checking the public posting of prices, selling at the correct listed prices, and preventing acts of stalking tourists.

Develop plans to ensure traffic safety, security and order, fire prevention and fighting, and rescue; promote propaganda so that people, businesses, business households, and tourists raise awareness of voluntarily complying with regulations; arrange forces on duty to ensure traffic safety, have plans for traffic flow, parking lots, and handle traffic congestion hotspots in tourist areas and spots.

Implement the regime of reporting tourism situation before 5:00 p.m. every day during the holidays to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to synthesize and report to the Provincial People's Committee and the National Tourism Administration.

Propose that Lao Cai Tourism Association propagate and thoroughly educate all members of the Association and tourism service businesses to comply with and strictly implement the provisions of the law on tourism service business; best prepare conditions for facilities, services, human resources and have specific plans to be ready to serve the increased demand of tourists during the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

Thoroughly educate all members to properly implement commitments on prices and civilized codes of conduct in tourism, not to allow solicitation, price increases, speculation, profiteering, ensuring healthy competition among tourism businesses, contributing to building the image of Lao Cai tourism as civilized, friendly, and hospitable.

The Tourism Information and Promotion Center communicates cultural, sports and tourism activities in the province before, during and after the April 30 and May 1 holidays on websites and social networking sites managed and operated by the Center. Prepare good conditions to serve tourists at Sa Pa Tourist House, Y Ty Tourist House and Bac Ha Tourist House.

Tourism service businesses, accommodation establishments, tourist attractions, and travel agencies must comply with the provisions of law on conditions for tourism service business: For tourist accommodation establishments, they must be ranked or notified of operations; for tourist attractions, they must be recognized according to the provisions of the Law on Tourism; for travel agencies, they must be granted a travel license and must comply with the tour program signed with tourists.

Proactively plan activities to serve tourists during the holidays; arrange sufficient human resources, facilities, food and necessary conditions to serve tourists to ensure safety and quality.

Implement measures to ensure safety for tourists: warning, rescue and relief systems; strengthen control to ensure security, safety, fire prevention; strengthen work to ensure food hygiene and safety, and prevent food poisoning.
