Hanoi Tourism Festival 2025: Experience the quintessence of the capital's culture

Tonight (May 30), the Hanoi Tourism Festival 2025 with the theme "Experience Hanoi 2025" will officially kick off at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site with many rich and attractive activities, aiming to honor the value of cultural and historical heritage, promote destinations, products, and unique tourism services of the Capital.

Cultural diversity

The Hanoi Tourism Festival 2025, directed by the Hanoi People's Committee and coordinated by the Hanoi Department of Tourism and other units, will take place from May 30 to June 1. Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said that the festival is one of the important annual events in the city, aiming to stimulate tourism in the capital, while strengthening the connection between Hanoi tourism with other provinces and cities in the country and internationally, from the formation of many inter-regional and inter-national tourism products. The event also aims to practically celebrate the country's major holidays, responding to the National Tourism Year 2025 " Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities".

This year, the Hanoi Tourism Festival 2025 with the theme “Experience Hanoi 2025” has the participation of nearly 100 units and 150 booths. The festival is organized with many rich and unique contents such as the “Hanoi Destination” experience space, introducing the capital’s tourist destinations through models and miniatures.

Coming to the festival, visitors can also experience Hanoi's culinary space with traditional dishes such as: Pho, shrimp cakes, coffee, lotus tea, sticky rice, green rice, vermicelli with snails and creative dishes combining traditional ingredients with modern style... In the space introducing Vietnamese craft villages, visitors will experience products from famous traditional craft villages of the capital such as: Embroidery, figurines, Phu Vinh rattan - bamboo - weaving, lacquer, mother-of-pearl inlay...

In addition to the spaces introducing Hanoi culture and craft villages, this year's Hanoi Tourism Festival also has a space connecting Hanoi and other provinces and cities with international friends (including Ha Giang, Bac Kan, Son La, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh); a space to experience and explore Hanoi tourism through technology; a space to connect businesses; a space for performing arts...

Enhance the visitor experience

According to Vice President and General Secretary of Hanoi Tourism Association Nguyen Kieu Oanh, coming to this year's festival, Hanoi Tourism Association has 33 booths of travel agencies, craft villages, chefs... Artisans participating in the program will directly demonstrate their skills so that visitors can have the most interesting experiences.

“Visitors will also hear artisans tell stories about their craft and be guided on how to make products to better understand the quintessence of Hanoi’s craft villages. With the culinary space, we require units to have product quality inspection certificates, ensuring food hygiene and safety,” Ms. Nguyen Kieu Oanh shared.

This year’s festival also has a space for Hanoi tourism businesses to introduce attractive stimulus products. Hanoi Tourism Corporation prepares many tourism products of its member units.

Typically, Hanoitourist Travel Company offers domestic and international stimulus tour programs with incentives of up to 8 million VND, in which the highlight is the stimulus tour product of Hanoi and cultural destinations across the country.

West Lake Park (Haseco) is implementing a special tour discount program for customers who register to buy tours directly at the fair, with free tickets to West Lake Park.

Hoa Binh Hotel offers a series of attractive promotions such as 50% discount on banquet room fees and free use of LED screens for groups of 70 guests or more (applicable from April to the end of August 2025).

Thang Long GTC Company offers a discount on the Red River tour, down to only 650,000 VND for customers traveling on June 15.

One of the highlights of the festival is that the Hanoi Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Hanoi Tourism Association will launch new tourism products in Ba Vi. On May 31, the units will conduct a survey of new tourism routes in Ba Vi with activities: Trekking the Ngoc Hoa Stream route at an altitude of "400m"; surveying the Amour Resort Ba Vi accommodation facility; visiting the ancient church...

In addition, with the aim of promoting international tourism and attracting new key markets, the Hanoi Department of Tourism organized a seminar on "Developing Halal tourism in Hanoi" on June 1.

Deputy Director in charge of Hanoi Tourism Promotion Center (Hanoi Department of Tourism) Nguyen Huu Viet said that the seminar aims to find solutions for the capital's tourism to expand new potential markets for Halal guests.

As the opening event for the capital's summer tourism series, the Hanoi Tourism Festival 2025 contributes to affirming the attractiveness of the capital Hanoi in all four seasons with a variety of impressive sightseeing and experience activities. The event is also expected to be a "lever" for Hanoi to realize the goal of welcoming 31 million tourists, including 7.5 million international visitors, contributing over 8% to the city's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) this year.
