The boat racing festival gathered more than 400 athletes from 31 male and female dragon boat teams with 12 rowers from 16 communes and towns in Trieu Phong district and Cam Xuyen district (Ha Tinh province), Le Thuy district ( Quang Binh province ), Lien Chieu district (Da Nang city), divided into 2 categories A and B.
In which, in class A: men's dragon boat with 12 rowers, there are 9 participating teams from Trieu Thuong, Trieu Do, Trieu Thuan, Trieu Tan, Trieu Thanh communes, Ai Tu town and Lien Chieu district, Le Thuy district, Cam Xuyen district competing in a distance of 3 km; women's dragon boat with 12 rowers, there are 6 participating teams from Trieu Thuong, Trieu Do, Trieu Thuan, Trieu Tan, Trieu Thanh communes and Ai Tu town competing in a distance of 2 km; mixed men's and women's dragon boat with 12 rowers, there are 6 participating teams from Trieu Thuong, Trieu Do, Trieu Thuan, Trieu Tan, Trieu Thanh communes and Ai Tu town competing in a distance of 2 km.
In category B: men's dragon boat with 12 rowers, there are 10 participating teams from the communes of Trieu Long, Trieu Tai, Trieu Ai, Trieu Trung, Trieu Hoa, Trieu Trach, Trieu Co, Trieu Dai, Trieu Phuoc, Trieu Giang, divided into two groups A and B to compete in the qualifying round of 1 km, then select the teams ranked first, second, third in each group to compete in the final round of 2 km.

The Traditional Boat Racing Festival of Trieu Phong District is held annually to maintain and develop the boat racing movement throughout the district; create a vibrant competitive atmosphere, build cultural and spiritual life and improve people's health, contributing to building and protecting the Fatherland.
Through the festival, the boat teams will have the opportunity to exchange, learn, and strengthen the spirit of solidarity; at the same time, select racing teams with excellent achievements to join the district team to participate in the traditional boat racing tournament "National Reunification Festival" of Quang Tri province in 2025.
