Le Thuy: Increase vaccination for livestock

Poultry farming is strongly developed in Le Thuy district.

To date, Le Thuy district has a total herd of 5,307 buffaloes, 11,192 cows, 42,907 pigs, and more than 1.9 million poultry. In the first 6 months of 2025, the output of fresh meat for slaughter is estimated at more than 12,160 tons, up 3.85% over the same period; egg output is estimated at 41,500 eggs, up 5.4% over the same period.

In the context of complicated animal disease developments, local authorities are stepping up preventive measures, especially vaccination.

Accordingly, in the first phase of 2025, Le Thuy district has vaccinated livestock against the following diseases: Foot and mouth disease for buffalo and cows (6,350 doses); septicemia for buffalo and cows (3,930 doses); lumpy skin disease in buffalo and cows (30 doses); avian influenza (892,100 doses); foot and mouth disease in pigs (2,500 doses); classical swine fever (20,395 doses); rabies in dogs and cats (8,170 doses)...
