In celebration of the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on August 30, at the Provincial Cultural Center, the Representative Board of the Elderly Association in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the first Elderly Singing Festival in 2023.
Participating in the Festival were 182 actors from 14 troupes from the Elderly Associations of localities in the province.
The troupes performed more than 50 acts including singing, dancing, skits, and instrumental music, praising the Party and Uncle Ho, and expressing love for the homeland and country.
The festival contributes to improving the spiritual life of the elderly, preserving and promoting the national cultural identity, promoting grassroots cultural and artistic movements. Thereby, it aims to promote information and propaganda activities, raise social awareness of the position and role of the elderly; call for attention and care for the lives in general and the mental health in particular of the elderly.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the Elderly Delegation of Buon Ma Thuot City, Second Prize to Krong Pak District and 3 Third Prizes to the Delegations of M'Drak, Krong Nang and Ea Kar Districts.

In addition to the overall group award, the Organizing Committee also awarded movement awards and awards for each category such as: outstanding solo, outstanding instrumental solo; outstanding trio, duet, choir; group singing, group dance, outstanding skit.
