On the morning of October 19th, at the Cultural, Information and Sports Center of O Cho Dua Ward, Dong Da Ward held the opening ceremony of the 1st Dong Da Ward Sports Festival - 2025.
In his opening remarks, Vice Chairman of the Dong Da Ward People's Committee Nguyen Trong Hai stated that the first Ward Sports Festival marks a significant step forward in the growth and development of the ward's sports movement. This event serves to showcase the strength of the community, encourage physical training, and demonstrate the Party Committee and government's concern for improving the physical and mental health and quality of life of the people.
The congress aims to continue the widespread and effective implementation of the "National Movement for Physical Training Following the Example of the Great President Ho Chi Minh" in conjunction with the "National Movement for Unity in Building a Culturally Rich Life," contributing to the successful fulfillment of the political , economic, social, security, and defense tasks of the ward in 2025.
With the spirit of "Being healthy to build and protect the Fatherland," the Congress was organized according to proper procedures, scale, and solemn rituals, with the participation and parade of more than 1,000 athletes from 20 delegations, representing agencies, units, and schools in the area.
Within the framework of the Games, more than 300 outstanding athletes competed in 10 sports for participants ranging from young people to senior citizens.
This is not only a day for interaction and training, but also an opportunity for Dong Da ward to discover and select outstanding talents to participate in the upcoming city-level sports festival.
